On eBay International Shipping page says, "If an item is displayed on eBay International Shipping and there is a VeRO, eBay will modify or remove the listing from eBay International Shipping. Negative account consequences won't be applied to the seller's account. "

LOL Just found out about this International Shipping update to sellers. Ebay enrolled me without my knowledge. NO WONDER I got restricted and some listings taken down over the past few weeks! I reached out to them several times (along w/Ebay for Business). They NEVER mentioned anything about the EIS update. I never made changes to my shipping either. Sigh... Anything that shouldn't be shipping internationally should be excluded in your shipping preferences. I even exclude some electronics and very fragile items that I just don't want to risk damage to. Thanks!

I went to my policies page and found things I didn't even create, and that I was signed up by EIS. Now how in the world did THAT happen? Hi Your screen looks totally different than my computer screen! And when I want to exclude a country on an individual listings, I don’t add a service, I just select which countries I don’t want to ship to! I am really puzzled as to why we’re seeing different options 😮

I got a vero for levi's to germany? I think anyway. So in order to protect my store from more vero's and/ or being shut down I opted out. Now I have a customer wanting me to ship to Switzerland. How do they see my listings in other countries if I am not even in the Ebays international shipping program. Also the global shipping is no longer available? Is it new with tags or all Levi's brands? Also I could never find a way to pick and choose your listings that are included or not included in Ebays international shipping. Could never find info. I have a bunch of Levi's and now I can't sell them in the states plus the vero against me without warning.

I don't want to ship internationally but Ebay gets their pound of flesh anyway. I sold and shipped an item within the US. I am now hhit with a fee because apparently the buyer has an account that is registered in the UK! It was a $15 item and the extra fee was .38 but it it not the amount it's the principal. This was probably a gift for someone living here.

Hi Rebel, I am opted in to the new program and I use Shipping policies. My screen does not match what you have starting at 9:32. Instead of "shipping method," mine says "shipping policy" and I have a drop down of the different policies I have set. AFter that I have the package weight/dimensions then it has "International Shipping" info. There is no toggle box for "Add other shipping services" in the International section. There are no options there at all. I am assuming you do not use business policies? I can't find a way around them at the moment so I assume I opted in to them at some point. Any suggestions?

I don't do business and shipping policies. I've heard you can opt out if you want from the policies.

I think they changed this whole process. I can not go in and change things. It states "where applicable" so does that mean they are now not showing items that are possible vero's. I sign up for ebays international shipping but when I go into my lev'is listing it automatically shows no international shipping and if I try to change anything it states it will change 334 other items as well, which are not Levi's so maybe on some type of list, Also I do not have knives or perfumes. Hmmm Curious. I guess I will have to wait and see if I get vero's?!

I have tons of Levis listed and haven't had one issue. I make sure I have all international countries excluded at the bottom of the listing screen.

How do I know what the 200 countries are, and do I have to click something to include them? Write now I have all foreign countries not to ship to. And do I still put the weight and size of box?

Once you are in the new eBay international program, you don't have to do anything to add the countries, only if you don't want to send to a particular country. This can be at the store level or for individual items. I have weight for all my first class packages and weight and box dimensions (estimated) for everything over 1 lb.

If you are referring to the new eBay international program, no. You are shipping it to their hub in Chicago so it is just like shipping any other package. Ebay has collected additional funds from the buyer to ship from the hub to the final destination.

This was a great video! I've been selling domestically for years and looking to possibly ship internationally. I'd think that if ebay handles all of the shipping, should I just ship to all countries? I mostly sell audio equipment, guitars, and tools. I'm not sure if some of these items aren't allowed in all countries, so how would I know? Would ebay just not allow the buyer to purchase it? I checked my account and see that I am opted in so I guess I will leave it like that. I don't want to make any mistakes and have to regret it later, but I guess I will take the chance.

Ebay has a standard blurb of prohibited items like knives and perfume in the link below (1). Certain countries have their own restrictions and those are the responsibility of sellers to determine. I've not found a list and only know from posts in Facebook groups and experience. The USPS website has an area where you can look up the restrictions for each country but it is very tedious to go through. The link is below (2). They still hold you responsible for making sure items that can't be shipped internationally are not in the eBay international shipping program. Ebay claims they will remove these items from the program however I have a friend who received a notice that they removed a pair of Levis from the eBay International shipping program. He forgot that he had more listed and then received a warning that the next time would be a suspension.

Under the shipping section, make sure you have "free shipping" turned off. Then you have to set up the shipping - weight and package size.

This was released 8 months ago when the program was released. Ebay has probably changed the screens. I only use a desktop also and you were seeing the screens as they were in April 2023.
