The "2-front, 2-back" way you showed gives prettier results than most other tutorials I've watched. I will attempt this one, even though I've never knitted anything in my life. If I'm going to buy yarn and invest a few hours of my weekend doing this, I want the final product to be as good looking as I can make it. Thank you for the inspiration and the clear instructions. Christina, I have made two chunky blankets in the past two years, by watching your tutorials and they have turned out beautiful. I made them both by actually following along with the videos (pause and play, on and on). Even though they turned out great, I was always still a little confused about that last stitch (I don't knit or crochet). This video made it all click, and I now feel confident that I can do it all by myself. 😂 You're a wonderful teacher and I look forward to your videos every week. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world. Yours is, by far, hands down, my favorite channel. 💖

I did it! I bought 14 skein of bernat blanket big yarn. I’ve had it in the back seal of my car for a month. I’m going to have to search your blanket tutorials to find the design I fell in love with. I’m thrilled that this video reinforced my choice of jumbo chenille. BTW. I love the boys new haircuts. I have a friend who gave his big black standard boy a flat top ala grace jones. It was the coolest grooming I’ve ever seen on a poodle (the standard pulled it off best).

I’ve just started doing chunky knit blankets and after multiple multiple videos I found yours! Can I just say that I’m not only now liking the process but am also trying to figure out how to keep this blanket for myself!! In the first few minutes of your tutorial I tore my whole blanket apart and started over…not even knowing at the time that the pattern would also be different! Which btw thru seeing pictures while purchasing yarn I’ve wondered how to do different stitches. This also happens to be the pattern I had my eye on! So much to my surprise when starting the 3rd row I discovered this would turn into my favorite blanket! Now I’m just trying to figure out how to get your voice on tape to put me to sleep!?😂 Sorry if that sounds a tad creepy!! But has anyone ever told you that your voice is soothing? Anyway I just wanted to say TY for making this process 10 times easier that anyone else has thus far! Hoping there are more videos on your channel similar to this one. 🤞👌

This was a fantastic video to introduce my coworker who was in love with the idea of the chunky throw. You explain the pros and cons of each fiber and blanket and I really appreciate that. I also wanted to mention that the verb “cast”, as in to cast on is one of those irregular verbs so past tense is still cast on - casted on is incorrect. No offense meant. I make mistakes too. A lot. But I hope I can pass on knowledge that helps.

Evening to you Christina, so nice to have you back on screen. The instruction and the advice or suggestions on the various yarns is so important. I agree for every day use as well as for heavy traffic, fourr legged traffic, I think Chenille is the better option. I have to smile, the dogs looking beautiful as always, yet with the hair cuts they just need that extra comfy around the waist. The instructions are very good, and when a beginner why rush, it is a new venture and to enjoy your work, take your time, it will cut out the frustration. The finger knits are so lovely to use in the house, and it is great to be able to wash and dry at home. I prefer my own cleaning stuff, then I also am at ease there will be no allergies coming back from the laundry services. Thank you for showing the animals, it is great to see them and I really enjoy their naughty fooling around. It is only the cat that knows how to behave as she is so sophisticated. Due to previous hand surgeries and rheumatoid arthritis, I have been unable to comfortably crochet which I really miss. I tried learning to knit years ago but just got so frustrated with it. After searching for a gift to make for a special friend, I found several videos on hand knitting. After watching yours, I thought that this is something I CAN do and can't wait to start. Thank you!
