I like how you took control of the design when you figured out the top wasn’t working. That tone on tone with the stencils is so elegant. Love how you worked the corners on the top too! Very adventurous piece.

Wow! I had my doubts about the pearlescent glaze. I thought it might be a little glitzy, but now I see how subtle it is. I love your faded stencils too and the facts that you used so many different ones. You're ALWAYS an inspiration.

My apologies everyone, you can use wax AFTER you use Pearlescent Glaze! You can use it before but make sure the wax is dry and rub any access wax before you apply the Pearlescent Glaze 😉💙

Wow! Love the peralessent glaze, it looks so elegant stenciled on top of the french linen♡ I'm also loving the way the lighter frame accents the stencils on the drawer fronts. That blue is the perfect backdrop for such a gorgeous piece of art! Bravo!!👏 Thank you for sharing your talent Christina, stay safe. *hugs* Nikki

Christina....so beautiful! Love the glaze....all pieces shown are really impressive❣️ My husband owns an Automotive Center which includes a body shop.....back in the day he was the painter (worked for his father) we were gifted a French provincial dresser/mirror/nightstand that was that light green color with the linen look white over it ( not sure what to call that?) my father refinished furniture for a living and he found the perfect twin bed to match! So when our daughter was transitioning from crib to bed at age 1 he painted the furniture with auto paint in a white pearl iridescent color and put glass knobs on it....it’s was and still is gorgeous! She is 31 years old...we still have it here and I still love it....this reminds me of this❤️ For fun I will add my son’s dresser was an old pine dresser ...was my grandmother’s pine and plain...with the grab handles carved into the wood ( also don’t know what to call that!🙈) but he painted it silver to mimic a tool box to go with his red Lamborghini bed....lol Still have that too. This is something I think would be awesome to use on some accent tables in my parlor....thank you for sharing😊k

Rebeca Hervis ... thank you so much Rebecca for your feedback and comment 🙏💙 I appreciate you letting me know any feedback as it’s tricky at times to set the camera properly for the visual of what is happening! I am super excited as I have purchased a new camera with HD and will have much better visual effects as I continue making tutorials and this will help with colour tones etc. I really wanted a camera that gave excellent clarity and crisp visual! I knew taking the drawers out was going to harder to film verses being horizontal in the dresser lol 😂. Thanks again for your feedback and watching the tutorial 🤗🎨❤️

Houston Calhoun ... Thank you so much 🙏💙 It was a fun project and product to work with. It was an interesting challenge for me because I wasn’t sure how the pearlescent glaze was going to turn out as I had never used it before. It truly makes beautiful effects for all kinds of ideas 💡, I definitely will do another project with Pearlescent Glaze. It’s funny you mentioned the stencil banding , many have asked about the exact stencils I use, in fact I have randomly purchased stencils from varied places and it’s a really good idea to brand a collection for furniture projects 😉🎨 I really appreciate your kind words and feedback 🤗

I love the effect of the dark drawers and the lighter coloured frame and top. I don't think that would have occured to me to do that but really makes such an interesting piece of furniture. Also, the dark blue was beautiful. Again, not a colour i would think of doing and yet it looks stunning. Great work. Shirley from the UK. X

OMG...I had started a piece before I saw this video. I painted the base of the dresser Country Grey. There are 5 rows of 3 drawers and I painted each row a descending version of Napoleonic Blue. Darker at the bottoms going to lighter at the top. I think the stenciling will be the perfect addition!

That’s gorgeous! I want to do that! Just to let you know the volume of the music is so so loud compared to the voice volume I’m really sensitive to noise so it was stressing me out really bad. Great results on the project!
@sheilajones44913 жыл бұрын
Hi I have had probs with dark furniture showing through the chalk paint. I understand shellac can stop this from happening. You mention it in your video but skip over the application. Did you use clear? Was it a spray? Did you spray entire piece before applying chalk paint? How soon after shellac application can you start painting? Any help with this much appreciated. Fabulous transformation way beyond my capabilities. I am up cycling two storage stools for my sewing room replacing the cushion tops and thought I would try the all over pearlescent glaze over antique white.
@TheReclaimedHeirloom3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sheila, for dark furniture it can be a challenge sometimes and with bleed through even more! I would use a white primer based schellac if you piece is dark and you are chalk painting it with a lighter color. I would let the application completely dry (dry to touch) before applying the chalk paint. I hope this helps!!! Thank you so much!! I hope you enjoy today's new video! ❤️🎨🙏

@TheReclaimedHeirloom4 жыл бұрын
Margie ... so for this piece I only used the clear wax and dark wax on the top! I used the pearlescent glaze on the small stencils and the frame. The Pearlescent Glaze will seal as a protector just like the wax but I didn’t use anything on the drawers fronts. You can use the clear wax on top of you need to seal! Hope this helps 😉🎨 Thank you so much for your kind comment 🤗💙
