The Sulu sultanate, among others, was responsible for the spread of Islam in Indonesia. But the conversion happened slowly over time, through the influence of merchants. As Sulu, conquer all of modern day Indonesia and have Islam be the dominant religion in your country, without using any missionaries (only the trade interaction). Bonus optional goal: own the White House since the US annexed Sulu in 1915. Bonus bonus goal: make a hajj, have a unit with your ruler as commander stand in Mecca.

As sulu become Zulu and then as Zulu become Sulu. Start off by tag switching to Zulu (there is a decistion that triggers an event to switch tag) Then as Zulu invade Sulu and own the Sulu province as your only one.

Fun fact: did you guys know that Sukhothai was the first Thai kingdom? Founded by the King Ramkhamhaeng (รามคำแหง, Rama the Bold), breaking away from the declining Khmer Empire (the root of a rivalry between Cambodia and Thailand and their peoples today). His legacy is the current Thai alphabet and the Theravada Buddhism as the state religion in Siam and Thailand. So in a way, Sukhothai did form Siam, just... indirectly. Btw I'm not Thai I just got Thai'd, to quote a classic. So maybe there are more subtleties to this that I am aware of. Anyway, history is fascinating, no matter where it happened
