The TourX is an amazing family vehicle. Many people didn’t know they wanted one until after GM stopped making them. That’s why they should have marketed the thing.

I'm really happy to see this new wagon. Wagons make a lot more sense for people and cargo hauling than a CUV. This particular wagon looks REALLY good. My only gripe is that they'll only give the American market a Subaru Outback wannabe version, with AWD and black exterior cladding. In Europe they sell this as a straight up FWD wagon. I hope they decide to bring that version to the American market. I'd be VERY interested in buying one if they do.

Only 1,000lb towing capacity is balls. Straight balls, and that's not a good thing. All I want, as a dad with two kids, is a bad ass WAGON that can tow at least 3500 lbs. I want to tow a caravan like they do in the UK, and 1000lb towing capacity ain't gonna cut it.

The worst part is, this exact vehicle in the UK is rated to tow 3400 lbs. They cripple the limit stateside so that customers who want to tow are stuck buying more expensive SUVs and crossovers. If they tried doing that in Europe, customers would just buy a wagon from another manufacturer. Need evidence that automakers do this in the US? Go check the tow ratings for the Ford Crown Victoria from the early 90s to the mid-2000s. The car itself went through very few changes, yet the tow rating drops right around the same time the Ford Explorer came out.

I get the impression with this last Opel from Germany that GM is experimenting again to see what sells - a hatchback sedan and a wagon. They experimented a few years back with the small SUV, the Encore, and it was so successful they made a Chevy version called the Trax. If this succeeds we will be seeing the same in a Chevy in a few years. If it fails, then back to sedans and SUVs only. 0-60 mph tested is 6.9 seconds, so it is pretty fast.

@@papajhonsrealyeah the $75K+ price, 18mpg fuel economy, and no marketing effort really didn’t do it any favors. I saw a bad ass loaded one, blue over brown leather, for sale online a few weeks ago for $45K. We just bought a loaded TourX. Absolutely beautiful in Rioja Red (it’s a brownish color). Drives like a big hot hatch - I actually want to get in & take it for a drive to nowhere unlike the typical “practical” car. Stands waayyyy out from all the CUVs people default to when they need a family car. Nice to not see a clone of myself every 10 minutes! So yeah…rare, fun to drive, practical, German, tons of features. Upsides are it gets better gas mileage and the pano sunroof opens unlike the Jag’s. One day though…a SportBrake will be in my garage.

I drive a 2015 Volvo XC70 T6 (real T6 not the 4 cylinder T6) and love it. It has 72 cu ft space with 2nd row seats folded down and as you said it drives like a car but has SUV space. Nice review but would have liked to see cargo area with rear seats down, the whole point of a wagon for cargo space. Does this come in a 6 cylinder or only 4? I hate 4 cylinder cars. This vehicle is nice looking, reminds me of the previous gen Audi Allroad. Interior is decent as well.

All of the black plastic is a huge turn off for me. Looks like a great practical vehicle though, and looks good for a wagon.

biggranny000 tell me about it ... The all track is ugly and it seems to have stolen the sportwagens thunder .... Same vehicle just one has a plastic diaper around the body

Cladding or not cladding, it's a whole lot better than no wagon at all.

I never thought I would love a Buick, let alone remotely like one, then I saw the Regal...

If i get this then I would make sure it has the panoramic sun roof for sure! I do like this Tourx because its different and there is not the need to drive the big ass SUV's that are coming out now. this has the size to put everything i need plus built in wifi, Onstar, SOS, and much more and still have the size of a sedan to a certain point...right now I have a 2017 Escape...wish the Tourx came out sooner...i just have to wait or something lol

I'm not sure why these wagons aren't more popular. Less opulent than the Audi but comfy supportive leather seats and everything very well thought out, although mine is high end with almost every option. Best of all, there are great deals out there.

Like the two tone interior...But the darker top half is angled toward the driver (like my Optima) but the lighter colored lower portion seems tacked on....doesn't feel well integrated (like my Optima) Great review as always! Thx.

What type material is the black plastic over the wheel wells? Hard cheap material? rubbery plastic? Durable feeling? Cheap feeling??

Brian Rosado It wont sell in America if it didn't have that. Same reason why Audi does an Allroad version instead of an Avant
