Last week, I was fortunate enough to drive a 2019 NSX. Your review was spot on. I drove it in quiet and sport modes-amazingly docile in quiet and faster in sport. As it wasn't my car, I didn't want to risk sport plus or track. I hit the lotto, this is the car for me.

For a pretty much brand new super car it's performance really isn't that earth shattering, it's pretty much out performed by every other car in this class. That said I love that they went hybrid so it's kind of like a baby 918 but really wish it had a v8 instead of a 6. It also looks amazing in black, hides some of the more questionable lines that the brighter colours excetuate.

The NSX has always been known to be the livable daily supercar so people shouldn't expect it to be loud and wild. This is for that person that is tired of loud sports/supercars, but still wants a supercar. I'm one of those people who want one, though.

Also the NSX was never a simple car to begin with in fact it was one of the most advanced cars on the market at the time, so for those that say Honda should have made it simple like the last NSX are ignorant. This car really has two different souls: quiet ecofriendly on one hand and more brutal and sporty on the other. I can see it being used as daily in quiet and in sport+ in weekend trips(or in track mode when you're in a track). I would love one, too bad I don't have a 150 grand in my pocket to throw at it.

I think Acura is quite smart. I do not speak for Acura but I do not think it is the sole goal to compete with other supercar makers by producing this new NSX. While producing an exciting car like the new NSX, Acura is developing new ideas and technology, and, then trickle down these new technology to consumer cars. Recently I test drove the 2017 Acura MDX Sports Hybrid. This SUV benefited a lot from what Acura has learned from the new NSX. I am impressed by the MDX Sport Hybrid. I have not driven the new Acura RLX Sport Hybrid. I think this new RLX is developed along the same idea.

Your honest thrill at what this car can do is really no surprise; all the hate people spew about this NSX is just because they don't understand what the NSX is really about. The NSX should never really be a rehash of the previous model, but instead a showcase of the new tech and how it can further the driving experience. P.S. to the "it took too long to come out" crowd, I'll remind them how it's more important to get it right than to be first and fall on your face.

Back in the mid 80s MR. Honda told his team, I want a super car that mom could run to the store and get little Billy from school, I want it to start and run and no oil drips on the driveway. Thus the NSX came to life in the early 90s just before Honda passed away. All in all it has made the other super car makers make a better car. The NSX IS A JEM TO THE Industry and has left a timeless mark that will always shine.

There's nothing wrong with the NSX, but most people spending 200k on a sportscar/supercar wants something loud and attracts a lot of attention. The NSX suffers from the same problem as the GTR

Not really true. There's quite a few folks who don't need that kind of attention, nor do they even drive these cars fast. Just the speed limit. They can afford plenty of time on private tracks to go as fast as they want and so discipline themselves. Don't confuse supercar rentals that are morons you see on the road with actual owned units. Our corporate complex has quite a few supercars from the execs and they don't attract any unwanted attention.
