The 2015 Hyundai Genesis is selling like by the thousands here in LA. A lot of high/middle class people are buying this car, and most of them are coming from BMWs and Audis. The AWD transmission on this car is amazing and the handling is on the heavy side, makes the driver feel confident on highways. And the 3.8L V6 is certainly one of the most powerful in this segment, making it a very satisfying driving experience.

It's a great car! My 2015 3.8 AWD with signature and tech packages is doing just fine. It only has 44K miles, so many more to go! And it was only $25K at 3 years old (original price $49K). Don't let the haters and car snobs influence your car purchase (5 series with comparable options was over $70K)! BTW, I did have a 5 series back in 2010, while it was sportier, it was not more comfortable, nor did it offer any of the awesome features that the Genesis does!

I drove the 5.0, this thing really moves. Now I'm on the fence between the Q70s and this car; one feature that I love that this car has that the Q70 doesn't is the Panoramic roof. No one should compare this car to the Honda Accord, Acura TL, Toyota Camry, Ford Taurus, nor Chevy Impala no competition.
@vlad18899 жыл бұрын
+J Silver I have 2012 m37 and i test drove the new genesis and it's a beautiful, refined, and quite quick on its feet. However, people don't seem to notice it as much as they would the Q70 nor does it sound anything as aggresive as the Q70. Depends what you want. More bang for your money or better sound and the snub factor?

Yeah, the Q70 is also an amazing car. But I see more Hyundai Genesis's out on the road than the Q70/M37-56.
@vladbilyy66529 жыл бұрын
Well, for few reasons. 1) Price difference 2) warranty 3) refinement. Q70 would run you additional 10-15 k not to mention the interior is updated not redesigned and the same for exterior. Hyundai is a much better value. However, like I said, the badge is not the same nor the sound.

Hyundai is not one of the best car makers in the market at the moment, obviously. However, when you have a look at the history of their rapid growth in the global auto market for the last decade, you will be surprised. There's neither everlasting winners nor everlasting losers in a market. Just 20 years ago, who would think that Samsung and LG would make better electronic gadgets than Japanese electronic companies? Hyundai is definitely stepping forward and doing what they need to do to go up to the next level. No matter what haters grumble about Hyundai cars on youtube video 24/7, Hyundai is doing a good job and the market has responded. Well, closed-minded haters will always be closed-minded haters though.

+Korean Pride Hyundai Genesis is a very good car, I pick it over any European brands, however, there is nothing on the market that is par with Lexus in means of quality. European cars are junk i.e. unreliable. The only sad thing about Hyundai and Kia, they are now ran by European engineers and managers. Without doing that Koreans did not have the chance on international market. However, working with Europeans means that Koreans will lose their ownership of that brand in the end. Especially if they want to run things themselves after sometime, Europeans will not allow it. Americans helped Japanese to be self sufficient on their technology, there is no nation that Europeans helped could achieve self-sufficiency by means.

Anyone else notice there are are 5 or 6 of fake profiles on here just keep spamming the same comments trying to boots Hyundai's reputation. Honestly and i think everyone else can see this too. A car companies reputation is earned and its sad that they are obviously paying people to spam on you tube videos about their cars. Please stop this Hyundai it makes you look bad. Not to say the car company hasn't earned a much better reputation in recent years. This kind of thing is not necessary: "Hyundai is the cutting edge in terms of technology. For the same price, Hyundai cars beat Toyota, Ford and Nissan.", "The Hyundai Genesis is definitely better value than all other cars in the same price range. The Hyundai Genesis' technology even exceeds those cars that are $20K more expensive. Hyundai = advanced tech company", "Hyundai manufactures jet engines and jet engine parts to aerospace companies in Europe and also Lockheed Martin. Hyundai = advanced tech company. " Same repetitive comments from the same people. its just so obvious. That kind of behavior is not normal. AND the person they hired to do the positive comments was too laze to change the text in some of the comments. "Hyundai = advanced tech company" yeah spam that a few more times. Jeeze. How dense do you think people are.

is the v6 engine enough for everyday driving highway?? I spend 30 minutes a day driving the highway to my job driving 75miles per hour on my honda v6 and it doesnt feel safe, it keeps shaking? can this car handle 75-80 miles smoothly on a highway?
@anthonynibblins9 жыл бұрын
I don't think you issue it the power of your v6 but rather you have some mechanical issues you need to address.

Tighten your camera mounts, arrgh! Hard to hear how quiet it was, with that rattling....I like my 1st. gen. Genny 3.8, if this 2nd. gen. is luxury on the softer side, then it is probably ideal for me. After 1 year on our roads in the northeast, I wouldn't mind it a tick softer, but it is far more poised and polished than the Altima 3.5 I owned for the previous 6 years. A big step up for me, and I suspect many midsize owners.

I own a 2012 Hyudai Genesis. At 40K miles the transmission starting to go out. The windows controller started to fail. The rails for the seat started to make loud metal on metal rubbing noise, I only weigh 160 lbs. The radio head unit has to many bugs and issues, I have to reset the radio constantly to get it to work properly. I also have a 2012 Hyundai Veloster that I use for my commute to work. At 40k miles the transmission started to fail also. I would jerk at low speeds between 1st and 2nd gear. I just would not switch gear properly. I brought it in to the dealer on several occasions. Each time they would tell me that there was nothing they could do since they couldn't get any error code from the transmission. After my Veloster hit 100K miles, the transmissio completly died. They dealer gave me the cold shoulders and told me there is nothing they can do for me unless I wanted to pay for the repairs. There was a known issue with the transmission and even their tech agreed with me when I took him for a ride along. Bottom line is Hyundai will not honor their warranty and their worksmanship is still severly lacking. Stay far far far away from them. There are plenty of better choices out there.

Take it for what it's worth. I paid good money for a product and service. I believe Hyundai didn't live up to it's promise and I'm here educating others from making the wrong choice. You don't have to believe anything I say just as I don't gives a rat's ass about you. Andy.

I have a 2009 3.8 sedan (the first year for the car) at 102,000kms and I've had no issues with it at all. The leather is holding up incredibly well. The engine still runs smoohtly, tranny is fine. Suspension components are great. The only issue is I blew the rear 8" sub LOL but seriously man you just have bad luck or maybe it's how you drive and maintain your cars if BOTH have similar issues. But that's really unfortinate. Even our '05 Santa Fe V6 has had no issues at ~160000 kms

Dat interior and front grill. Nice! A few negatives though; they should get rid of the Hyundai badge in the back. Add signature lights! Dealership experience is my concern though. If I'm going to purchase a premium car, I want the premium experience too. I can't imagine "Billy Bob's Hyundai Toyota dealer of Texas" would offer premium service, owner benefits/lifestyle club, and premium satisfaction.

What do you mean with the dealership experience? Don't get mad, I am 13.

Joni Papuli Basically premium dealerships like audi or mercedes have nicer lounges, offer free lunch/amenities, and overall give you that feel like ahhh this is money.

Repeat buyers in this price range usually go with an upscale brand because of the dealership experience. There's a heightened level of service that you only get with a BMW, Mercedes, Lexus. I would be a little apprehensive myself putting down 50k on a car while the service bay brings out a budget minded Elantra for the guy next to me. They might be able to make some sales with younger buyers who haven't been accustomed to good dealership experience, but these cars aren't performance minded!
