Grew up watching your pawpaw and Bill Dance on sunday mornings was the best,even watching them trying to ride bicycles was funny. I'm 56 now and im so proud of you following his adventures and making new ones with him. Hilary my dad and I would go Bass fishing in Lake Okeechobee and would see your grandpa stop to say hello to us and then he would ask if he could go in front of us and we would let him go ahead. I met your grandpa a very longtime ago and he always recognized my dad and I all the time. Your grandpa is an awesome person. I lost my dad unfortunately due to stage 4 lung cancer and he was about the same age as your grandpa. Its awesome to see you grow up into the fisherwoman you are currently today. Thank you for sharing your grandpa with the KZbin VIEWERS!!! I was born in Florida ( West Palm Beach southside Boca Raton before it is today it was farm land). Losing my father and my fishing buddy this March, watching your videos with your grandpa really hit home for me! I never met my grandpa as he passed before my birth. It so reminds me of dad tho. What an awesome video. Hilary rocks! Before covid I would trek from Massachusetts to Florida every February with kayak on roof and spend a month in the Ft Myers area. Each year I would spend one day in my kayak at Lake Okeechobee and visit Roland Martin Marina. I understood it was a joke trying to fish Okeechobee from a kayak but I loved just being at that shrine and always hoped to meet Roland at the store but I at least left with a souvenir from the marina store.

I met your grandpa at a friend's house at Paradise Point on Lay Lake several years ago before Bassmasters. Several anglers were in an out over the weekend. Roland was a nice guy and we all had a great weekend.
