Coy likes every comic book movie. I commented that one video and he personally replied back saying that’s totally not true and named a couple of the worst films ever he didn’t like. But in general, he usually likes any comic book film and gets overly excited. I mean nothing wrong with it, but hard to take his opinion seriously.

I dunno man we gotta stop giving Sony a pass for making ok, fine, passable, not as bad as you were expecting movies. And all of that is like high praise for this one. If everyone keeps paying for shit movies we'll keep getting shit movies. To me Sony hasn't made a good Spider-Man movie since Spider-Man 2 (apart from Into the Spider-Verse). I don't think at all that Sony are 'intentionally' making 90s feeling films either. I think that's just a result of them being inept. I know Coy is self-aware of the ''Coy likes everything'' but that's why I never take his reviews seriously honestly though. Don't get me wrong, I really like the guy, he's super knowledgeable, has a great energy and he is great on camera but when it comes to Marvel/Sony movies and cie, I feel he's having a hard time to be objective. He can like Morbius for sure, that's not the issue for me of course, but since he didn't have really any criticisms to say on it and was basically just countering pretty much any one of Greg and John had, it's hard to take what he says as objective really.

I loved this movie! I really did. Leto was great, the action was great, Smith was good (I din't think he was that amazing) Yes it felt like the movie was in too much of a hurry but I din't really notice it towards the ending. Overall it was a great vampire movie. It felt dark and gritty and showed the vampires as monsters and I really loved that!

Haven’t seen it yet but when I think of marvel’s worst captain marvel, Thor the dark world. Both have good portions that make it something I can still watch. Hopefully morbius is like that, where there is enough for me to be like okay the second will be better lol.

I just finished watching it. My honest thoughts? I liked it! It was decent. I know Sony gets so much shit from people (deservedly sometimes) but I think they did well for the most part. *Spoilers* If we are talking entertainment, I was far more amused and invested in Morbius over last year's Eternals by Disney/Marvel. It sucks that Sony misled us with trailers. We do not get to see that Spidey poster on the wall but Vulture does show up in 2 post-credits scenes. No interaction with Morbius like the first trailer though.

Lol, before any of the (unsurprising) negative reactions to Morbius dropped, I just knew some were gonna be saying they preferred this Sony entry to Eternals or any recent MCU stuff they didn’t like. Now clearly Morbius is a type of movie some people will have more fun with despite all its issues, but… not for me. I proudly stand for Marvel Studios’ least liked film in years (or most divisive ever). Yup. Dislike all you want, although from a filmmaking standpoint (hell, from every standpoint) Zhao’s MCU entry is far superior to this outdated mess from Sony. And unlike the likes of Venom & Morbius, it at least tried to take the genre (not just Marvel Studios) into newer places. Nah, I say it succeeded in doing so even with its flaws. What… it did nothing DC hasn’t? Oh bother. Anyway, cool to hate Sony some say? Well they did do some good things in the past, but those who claim all those who’ve criticized Sony over the years for the way they’ve handled live-action Marvel movies just because they want to be cool are funny. Though it looks like *enough* people are enjoying Morbius more than the critics (kinda another Venom situation), ultimately no one is calling these great films that will be talked about for years to come. Sony did well? Well understandably, many think they should do waaaay better than they currently are (many doubt they can for obvious reasons).

@@diegstroX8032 Ok, you're entitled to your opinion. You're right. Eternals is a big achievement filmmaking-wise. It was beautiful to look at, but it fell flat and bored me if I'm being honest. Kind of like Lion King. (CGI/Live action version) More style over substance I felt. Morbius had several issues and ridiculous scenes but watching Leto act and be this anti-hero, I had a good time and was entertained all the way through. That's what I wanted, a fun popcorn flick. It succeeded at keeping me invested, that's one of the things I value. If a movie, such as Eternals, puts me to sleep, it failed and I didn't care as much about the story, characters, and plot to sit through it.
