The direction in these 3 episodes was INCREDIBLE. Dark, palpably tense, well-blocked and boarded. Things like the water drops in the first ep really set the clock and the repetition. I love that they finally confirmed the M count stuff for Omega, and the stakes feel absolutely through the roof. I’m not sure Star Wars animation has ever felt this intense, and yeah that’s obviously including Clone Wars and Rebels.

I dont think Omega is or needs to be force sensitive. Shes a pure clone, possibly with some other types of emhancements. They said her blood facilitated the process they need to clone the emperor's body. I don't think that because Grogu was obviously force sensitive that Omega needs to be. Moff Gideon had different goals than the Empire. He wanted to give his own close the force. The emperor wants to enhance a cloned body with his force powers and then spirit. The thing special about Grogu is hes a very force sensitive member of Yoda's rare species. The thing about Omega is shes a pure clone. Id prefer if it was just that

Holy shit the stakes are SUPER palpable in this show and I love it. Tech's death and our knowledge of where some of this ends up makes everything so tense, especially in the third episode - seriously feels like anyone could bite it. Very cool to finally hear confirmation about what makes Omega special - I knew this was all tied into the cloning stuff in Mando. Although we all kind of assumed Necromancer was going to be what they were working on, it still gave me chills to hear confirmation. I don't think any of this is going to make me *like* RoS, but more backstory is always good and I'll never say no to more Ian Mcdiarmid. This show and Andor have really done a lot to make the Empire so much more sinister and terrifying. Those slither vines and head crab things were seriously creepy and it's crazy that the Empire was CREATING shit like that. Seriously loved everything about this so far, especially the tone filled with dread and the score. What a way to start the season! Also, Kevin Kiner's take on the Emperor's theme is absolutely chilling.

I don't think Omega is Force-sensitive. The Empire isn't looking for Force-sensitives here to clone Palpatine or whoever into. If that's the case, they could've just used the Inquisitors or any Jedi they captured. No, I suspect what the Empire's looking for is a suitable host body they can transfer Force-sensitive blood into and successfully retain the sensitivity. Throughout these episodes, their experiments have always resulted in a net decrease in M-count after transfer: they're targeting to minimally retain the same M-count as the Force-sensitive blood. Omega is a female version of the untampered Fett template, like Boba Fett. Because of that, Nala Se already knew that her body is a compatible host for receiving Force-sensitive blood without degradation in the M-count, so she's actively preventing the Empire from discovering it. If she didn't escape, my guess is that the next step of the research is to use her as a clone template, not for a new breed of clones like the Kaminoans originally intended, but instead to be a host body for Palpatine or whoever else to inhabit, with his Force sensitivity carried over as well. Maybe there's something indeed special about Omega, but it can't be because she's Force-sensitive. There's much easier ways to find Force-sensitives which won't require extensive sample taking from obviously non-sensitive clone regs.

The Empire is in it's early days, they can't just take random people without causing issues, Palpatine is trying to project that the Empire is better than the Republic was and has to be careful because the Senate is still a thing here until the Death Star is complete. He has to play the old man angle up a little bit more and act like a good guy for the public to view until that time comes. If he orders random kidnappings and gets caught, it can cause issues for him later down the line, so he plays it quiet. The Clones are also similar but the dna being stretched means abnormalities may appear and that's what they are looking for.

They may be adding different source blood (though I think that is Grogu’s), or changing conditions or chemicals to test for m-count retention. So they have to keep taking more to run the variations until something works.

This story with the experimentation with the clones almost feels like Equilibrium (2002) where the scientist wants to remove any kind of emotion from the Clones, not allowing them to think for themselves and just follow orders.

I really don't get the hate for this show. I've personally loved every episode. Probably helps that I'm a big CW fan, and I've wanted to explore what happened to the clones for years. So hyped for this season, but sad it's the last one.

If you listen to what they actually say, Omega is NOT force sensitive. Her blood resulted in a successful TRANSFER of M-count from the sample they had. She isn’t force sensitive, she is the perfect blueprint for future cloning.

Some people have already said this but Omega isn't force sensitive ot whatsoever.(Aside from force resonates in all living things which applies to every single stupid frog in any swamp) Her speciality is that you can basically transplant Force (Medichlorians) into her without losing it's efficiency. You CAN MAKE her VERY force sensitive to almost any degree, but SHE'S NOT one yet.

I absolutely loved these first three episodes! I’m so glad that the Bad Batch series is finally back for its third and final season. I felt like everything about these episodes were just so amazing, there were so many scenes and moments throughout these episodes that felt perfect. I thought that the writing was amazing, the voice acting was perfect, and the animation was beautiful and was able to perfectly capture whatever it was trying to portray. I also feel like each voice actor was giving an amazing performance and through their deliveries they felt like they were fully dedicate and invested to their character and their roles. And the music for these episodes were fantastic, I’m so glad that they brought Kevin Kiner back to do this shows score, I can’t wait to hear more of the music he composed for this season. I really hope that they are able to continue, keep up with or in some capacity even improve upon this level of great care and high quality that was put into each aspect of these episodes for the rest of this season. I loved the chemistry between Omega and Crosshair in these episodes, I thought that they made for such a perfect duo. Their relationship had a really great balance of being engaging, endearing and at times funny. I thought it was really cool to get to see just Hunter and Wrecker together. Not only does show just how much of the squad they have lost throughout the course of the show but I just loved getting to see how dirty and worn down their armor has become, showing how the two of them have had to go through a lot more difficult/dangerous situations in order to try and get Omega back. I am super curious to learn more about the different kinds of experiments that are going on at Mount Tantiss and I loved getting to see more of Dr. Hemlock again. I think he is such a great and well written villain, I cannot wait to see/learn more about him throughout this season. I am also really curious about Emerie Karr, I really hope that we get to learn more about who she is and what her purpose is during this season, I think her connection to Omega makes her a really compelling character. But above all I am curious to find out why Omega’s blood appeared to work with (what I believe to be) Palpatine’s whereas no other Clone’s did. Is it because she is Force Sensitive, is it because of her genetic defects or is it simply because she has female blood/DNA whereas the rest of the Clones have male blood/DNA? I can’t wait to see where the ending of these episodes will lead into next week’s episode and how they will impact the future of this show and its continuing story. So far I am really loving everything about this show and I can’t wait to see the rest of the season and where all the characters and this story and will go next. I absolutely cannot wait for next week’s episode, I am so excited!

With M-count etc. my favourite analogy I’ve heard is around learning a martial art. Everyone has the ability to become a martial artist. The higher the m-count, the higher your natural ability is. With a low m-count, you can still reach the same ability but it takes more effort and training to get there

So I think Omega is the clone of Emorie BUT I don’t think she is force sensitive. The goal of the experiments is to pass on the M-Count of a donor to a clone. Omega is the clone of Emorie and they probably used the genetics from the force monster things (name is escaping me) to give her an m-count.

I did some counting on how many marks she made during her time and it was around 165 days that she was trapped from the end of season 2 to the end of the first episode. In lamest terms it was about 5-6 months she was captured

Is it a controversial take that I hate whenever people speculate that someone could be force sensitive or someone important's descendant? To me it completely undermines the character's individuality, skills and growth and makes being a force user so much less special. Omega is not force sensitive or a cloned Jedi, her blood type is basically O+ for Midichlorians.

Yes and no issue with it for me and I think most people is the filler episodes from last two seasons anytime it was empire and crosshair everyone loved it including me I’m disappointed we never got more of him before he finally realised that the clones that matter to the empire ie the ones willing and wanting to serve don’t actually matter liked the outpost one because him seeing mayday die and them not doing anything made him realise that hunter was right mayday was a reg but he was like crosshair willing to serve the empire now he sees it just would of liked more episodes of him being evil and hunting the bad batch they missed a opportunity when hemlock sent scrotch to find them even tho that was after the outpost I would of loved if it was before and we got a crosshair and scortch duo
