Only thing wrong with mine was the tag underneath sticks out, could'nt fit to some reel seats. Mine also came with two different spools. I was able to get 150mtrs of 6lb braid on it, which is too much for BFS. My only concern, out of the box it wont cast 1g, flicking the spool i get about 6 revolutions. After a lot of use may free it up.

Half way between gaudy and garish. I though the brake dial on the Aldebaran '22 was bad, but the one on this reel is ridiculous!

I love my arise air! Only one issue I have, is that it has a rough feel when reeling it in. Hardly notice when using it anymore, but it casts like a dream!

If they were trying to get the color of a kingfisher, why didn't they put the orange on the bottom and make the top two tone blue? Also, it would have looked better if they used more feather textures on the sides instead of just the thumb bar.

Would be interested in seeing you go back into the customization Playlist. It's been a few years and it would be interesting to see if you could get one of these Chinese reels performing at a top dollar level, or just to see an old reel given new life like we saw a few years back in the Revo, Metanium, and the T3 (though you didn't really like the T3).

It's a weird looking reel. I don't mind the colors, but the speckles are a bit much and I would much prefer more subtle contrast of the colors, like a mostly blue reel with orange accents or vice versa.

I’ve been having fun with these cheaper reel’s and you can see the graduation in quality and price accordingly but Just dropping weight isn’t the only key to casting performance! no doubt it’ll cast well but better than a shimano bfs with all that extra weight? Not really and there’s the known lifespan of big brands that I feel is worth the extra,even the budget reels from the likes of daiwa/shimano will perform effortlessly for years so knowing the fish of a lifetime is only a bent spool or dead anti reverse away from freedom I know what brands I take when chasing the fish of a lifetime!

My challenge is this. I have a chronarch 50 mg or a scorpion 1000mg . Either or. That I’m positive if you equip with air bearings, or even ceramics. And fill the spool 1/2 way. I’m betting will perform as good if not better. Than most of these new bfs reels…? What do you think? If you make the video , I’ll let you use the shimano. Would be a good comparison if technology has really improved. Or if the genesis reels of bfs that were made without planned obsolescence are superior?
