One thing about Abu is they seem to be able to get their baitcasters to sit way lower in the reel seat than the other companies. Other than that though, I think they’ve been behind the game for many years.

I think companies should be investing more in 1 reel that can go from like a 70 MGl spool to a bfs spool just by switching out the spool and maybe some ball bearing or magnets. I think that would be game changing and lead BFS into a new direction instead of the same recycled reels every yr

Great idea. But will never happen. That would sharply limit sales of reels which they won’t do.

@officialWWM never. The Japanese can create some crazy stuff. Im sure there r companies making reels with some kind forward facing sonar compatibility or with it on the reel. They have self winding reels. DAIWA and Shimano could do a collab a DC with a t-wing guide.

I have the revo 5 RKT, 2 STX, SX RTK and an SX and have nothing bad to say about them have hauled in plenty of Bass and walleye this summer. Amazing reels can only imagine what a ZENON would feel like.

I can anwser that as i have most of zenon and revo 5 series: zenon feels lighter, lays litle bit more comfortable when palmed and casts lighter lures. End of diferences. No need for upgrade unless you want to cast light lures (down to 1/10 oz.)

The thing with Abu Garcia and most other companies that dont actually make their reels, their most expensive reels feel the same as their lower end reels.

When you order a reel from Japan, can you tell me roughly how much the import tax is on it?

In America, Ive never paid import tax. Not sure about other countries

@THEREELTEST Oh...I always thought if we ordered something from Japan /China we would be stuck paying import tax. I saw a used reel on eBay, so I wasn't for sure if I would get stuck paying import tax.

In Europe we allmost always paying taxes when goods coming from USA, Japan and other non European Union countries... @@THEREELTEST
