Mag'ladroth the void dragon is revealed in the novel mechanicum to be the abstraction the mechanicus venerate so highly. It's ironic for the dragon: he has had 2 perceptions both become their own lives of sorts: the void dragon is a feared god from the days of the war in heaven, something EVERYONE feared. The machine god, the omnissiah if you will, is loved by mankind immensely and seen as glorious in all its forms. The only question remains....how corrupted is the dragon as an avatar currently? Is it still spiteful of all life not like it? Or perhaps it's time with mankind as the perspective giver for it's concept calmed it's avatar to become.... compliant?

there were. during the heresy their where cyborg ogryn that even the astartes couldn't stop Horus had the step in. which might be an answer unto it's self. it also probably has to do with there distrust/contempt of flesh.
