@@mastercoolguy2809 From what I know, it takes away much of the risk and breeze from their hair. It takes their freedom, and entombs them. I remember one story where Kahn requested that the Tau they were battling alongside to kill one of his marines, as otherwise he'd be formed into a dreadnought due to his injuries. Most, I believe, are on Chorgis guarding the monastery. This is probably due to them already being cursed, so they take on the roll so other able body White Scars don't have to.

This content is top tier. My body is covered with white scars. Scars do not redden in the wind, they do not tan under the sun. I earned my scars on the road. I still ride into the empty spaces. The White Scars are the only 40k legion that makes any sense to me. The rest of the legions look like monsters and fools.🫡

I believe that name Jaghatai is based on Chinggis Khaan's second son's name Tsagaadai which means "fair-skinned". Emchi means doctor in Mongolian. The other words are just twisted versions of Mongolian names or words or completely made up. And the real Kishigten also had two divisions - day watch Torgoud and night watch Kebtuul. It would have been great if GW hired some Mongolian and Turkic consultants to enhance the White Scars lore.

Odd that the White Scars and Dark Angels couldn't universally choose a side, whereas, save a few alpha legion undercover spies, most loyal legions stayed loyal. I don't recall the Ravenguard, Space Wolves, or Salamanders having internal strife on this level.

The Raven Guard were not really able to be corrupted to force the choice. The ones who would likely have turned coat all died during the Battle of Gate 42. Ironically, Horus was the one was was in charge at the time. He inadvertently pushed the RG out of his grasp.

So initially I thought all White Scars were of Asian ethnicity but after hearing the intro it seems like they are a pretty mixed legion. Am I right in thinking that? Love the White Scars that’s just been aspect I’ve been curious about - if the entire legion shares Asian ethnicity, or not all but the majority, or if it’s pretty evenly mixed. I think Jagatai's specific culture is Mongolian based but the actual legion is from very diverse cultural groups. Due to their remote nature I can see them being the most racially/ethnically diverse.

Well the Chogorians have asian ancestry, i would hesitate to call them asian in entirety. One can imagine a lot of interbreeding since their particular group left Terra. Meaning there was plenty genetic dilution that took place during the Age of Progress, the Dark Age of Technology, and the Age of Strife. Most likely there are many Chogorians that dont have asian characteristics, even though theyre 100% Chogorian.

That storm thats here now... something about it is scaring them." The captain and stormseer eyed them. "Scaring them? Thats... peculiar." "I agree." Said the stormseer. "Maybe i-" at that moment,the stormseer clutched his head in pain,visions flooding his mind. Of one riding upon a chariot of lightning. When the visions stopped...the stormseer composed himself...and he laughed. "Stormseer? What is it? Did you see something?" "It isnt the storm they fear. Its whos causing it. I almost feel sorry for them. Almost." Outside, near the gates to the fortress monestary...the storm came. The Dark Eldar came in horrible force...but a man came behind. Rather then ornate, masterfully crafted power armor,he wore the garb of his people, spliced with Aeldari wraithbone armor. His features were that of the ancient peoples of the Steppes,those wandering tribes. His eyes were grey like clouds,his hair darker still. Yet despite his human appearance...he was anything but. He was head and shoulders taller then astartes,and he dwarfed the Drukhari in height. "Yakhari-ken." The man said. It was Chogoran for Aeldari. It also meant,the wicked folk. The drukhari turned...and they saw there death. It smiled. Like a summer storm it came swiftly without warning. One died. Then 2. Then 3. Then another. Another. Another. Soon enough,those on the ramparts of the fortress could see it,this hurricane of steel and blood,cutting a bloody swath through the Xenos. The white scars and guard were silent as they saw this horror be visited upon them. It is said that among the Primarchs, Sanguinus had no equal. But in truth, Jaghatai was peerless under the heavens now. Such was his mastery of the Alakh Geh. When the slaughter concluded,no Drukhari breathed Chogoran air. The entite Kabal oblerated by one creature. When the white scars arrived...they saw this being. He looked like he was barely inconvienced. Jaghatai turned to the white scars,and smiled. "My kinsmen. My brothers in steel. Forgive me for how long i took." He said. The guardsment knelt,but the white scars lowered there heads. "Khagan. H...how is this possible?" "It is a long story. But first,we must set our house in order,and cleanse our fortress of these monsters." Jaghatai turned to the guardsmen. "Rise. I do not deserve such reverence,not yet anyway." "I...i..." The guardsmen said,complying but horrified. "...are you ok?" Jaghatai said. The guardsmen was silent. For such common decency was rare among the inperium of today. "Y-yes!" "Can you fight? We will need all the help we can." The guardsmen nodded. Jaghatai raised his Dao. "My brethren,i promise this. There will be swift retribution for what the Drukhari have visited upon us." Within a day,the drukhari were routed from the system. After the Cadians departure, Jaghatai turned to his men. "So. I believe i have much to catch up on,no?" The stormseer nodded. "My lord...that is an understatement. This...will be a while." "I have time. Im not leaving Chogoris anytime soon. Not until we are ready." The dark gods raged. Jaghatai Khan had now returned,uncorrupted and stalwart.

@@krisgandhi The Khan was supposed to land on Chemos and Fulgrim on Chogoris. They were swapped by "unknown" force. Those that were to land on Chemos are destined to serve Slaanesh while those on Chogoris stay loyal. The Khan and WS kill and enjoy while laughing, and are fast, something that perfectly suits Slaanesh. The Emperor expected Fulgrim to be loyal while the Khan traitor.

I maybe misunderstood what you meant but the way it was worded sounded like you were saying Jaghatai's name was previously Ketugu Suogo. That was the Palatine Emperor's name. He was also called the Khagan until Jaghatai defeated him if I'm remembering correctly. And apparently he was only called the Palatine by the Imperium after Jaghatai's discovery. I remember in one of the novels, Yesugei was musing on Chogoris being called Mundus Planus by the Imperium and thinking it was strange that everyone thought they'd fought a man called the Palatine on Mundus Planus when neither of those names was known to him.
