Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about the new phasing function in the comments below! :)

Is it available in lumion 10?

The option that worked for me was that instead of saving as from outliner, copy a group and "paste in place" in a new Sketchup file and save it. It will automatically save its origin also. And then bring all the groups into Lumion and select "Align Positon" from the top right menues and all the groups will align as the original model.

Wow, this helps a lot. Thank you so much. I used to prepare the Sketchup file like you said but still have to position it manually when I was using Lumion 8.
@hammad5212 жыл бұрын
@@quangloc97 I think you might have not used the "paste in place" feature of the Sketchup.

Hi there, we use Revit and I wasn't able to click the walls or windows etc... Only the furnishings and imports from Lumion. Any advice?

Thank you for your informative videos! I have learned to do quite a bit watching your videos. Awhile back there was a program that rendered out a flat image into 3d and was scaleable and stretchable. Do you remember what that program was called?

Hi Justin, does importing the model as .dae helps with a phasing animation in mind? beacuse my worry is that with the absence of a snap guide, every component will be slightly off place when importing separetly.. thank you for sharing btw

I'm not sure model format really matters all that much in this case

nice video, i have issue with this workflow. when i import walls or any object in multiple fbx, to get stagger effect. object material id link is lost. now i have to assign materials to all objects individually.
@TheRenderingEssentials3 жыл бұрын
Don't fully understand the issue - Lumion isn't bringing in the materials from SketchUp? Are you sure you didn't apply a material to the outside of the group your geometry is in, effectively overriding the individual materials?
@chetan25773 жыл бұрын
@@TheRenderingEssentials im exporting from 3ds max and same material applied to walls. but for phasing stagger effect walls must be separate, so im importing in parts and that time lumion break unique material id and makes each wall material individual. right now making custom material and applying is only option.

Nice. Don't you just have to set a known origin point with the "Type in" feature for all the different imports? Example: (0, 2, 0) That way they should all align at the same place. Or maybe by selecting all the imports and select "Align Positions" on the flyout tab. Then you should not have to place them manually.. I don't have Lumion 11 so I can't try it but it seems like that would make sense.
@TheRenderingEssentials4 жыл бұрын
Interesting - I'll have to test both of these options - they totally make sense to me. Shouldn't be too hard to set the origin to be the same in SketchUp for all of them - thanks for the suggestions!
