I bought the part from seller on eBay, which was half the price than Amazon and the part fit perfectly so I didn’t have to switch out the circuit board. What an amazingly spot on video thank you brother!!

My Liftmaster garage door opener was so old that replacement logic boards for my model were discontinued. My problem was that the remote would not work with the opener lights on. I chose to replace all the electrolytic capacitors on the logic board so now all is well.

Thanks for the video. My opener stopped working. My wall button is flashing - I read it could be the circuit board. Before going ahead and replacing it I have one question. The reset button currently does not light up when pressed. Is this an issue relating to the board needing replacement - or does it indicate another problem? Thanks!

Are the designations at the end of the number important? Mine is a 41a5021-2f Logic Board and I see the same number but with different letters at the end. Thanks in advance

I didn't take a picture of how the three wires connect after replacing the logic board. The wires all look the same. How can I tell which order to put them back in?

Unless you upgraded the capacitors on the new board eventually you will be doing procedure again.

Please note that after numerous attempts I was unable to connect the short wire harness to the circuit board after it was mounted to the cover as shown in the video. Instead I connected the harness to the circuit board first and then mounted the board to the cover.

Why did you have to swap the old board with the new board if the housing were the same. Just install the new assembly.

Someone else asked the same thing. I had to swap the boards with the faceplates because the new faceplate was slightly different shape and didn’t fit back on the garage motor housing. Even though in the video they practically look the same.

I can see why you’re wondering why I swapped out the circuit boards. I guess I didn’t explain it in the video. It’s because the new faceplate was different than the one from my garage door opener. The top and bottom are slightly different and the screw holes in the bottom didn’t match up with the location of the original holes. In other words I can’t attach the new faceplate onto my garage door opener. Luckily the circuit boards are the same so I just swapped them out. But depending on your model you may be able to just swap the entire faceplate/circuit board assembly. Hope this answers your question!

My door will not open unless I hope down on the garage door button and then it kicks on and off
