Yes, David woke up one morning and thought "I think I'll bail today but first I must split the country." He followed through on a campaign promise (not one I supported) to hold a referendum on remaining in the EU and campaigned heavily to remain. The country voted otherwise and he was simply too polarizing a figure to remain Prime Minister. When the Head of Government's vision does not align with the country that obviously, it's impossible to remain.

+Frederick Maskell Thatcher destroyed Britain. She brought unemployment from 1m to 3 million. She didn't replace build a new council house for every 'right to buy' schemed house bought, leading to our housing crisis today. She sold our nationalized industries to private firms that care only about maximizing profits instead of caring about public service. She might have done well in the eyes of those who think GDP growth is the holy mantra of success, but she obliterated our society and took a dump on people's well being.

+Cardinal Ximenez There is nothing racist about wanting to control immigration. The reason that anti-immigration views are so common in the UK now is because of lefties that label people as 'racist' and 'islamaphobic' because they have opinions different to them. People are not allowed to speak out against immigration, therefore they feel threatened by it. Stop calling everybody racist and look at the facts about mass immigration and controlled immigration and then make a comprehensible argument supporting your views. Labels will get you nowhere.

The only reason we will be screwed is if people like you continue to say we are!! We all have a say, those of us who are reasonable realise we cannot always get the result we want. I'm looking forward to seeing you standing for the next parliament +Faeryn Morse instead of just abusing those who have the guts to do it, huh...

If she's scared to face Jeremy then how come she's able to make public speeches and shout back and shout at him all the time? I'm unreservedly sorry but saying 1 of these things and then saying the other just doesn't make any sence.

This is the problem with there not being a vice prime minister position. When the prime minister steps down, the new one gets in by doing back door deals instead of the public having a say in the matter.

Ryukey What's wrong with hoping that our new prime minister delivers what she promises? Because the past few prime ministers didn't do a good job. David Cameron and Gordon Brown didn't do much, I don't know about Tony Blair or Margaret Thatcher though.

Jazzy J A prime minister delivering their objectives isnt a universal good or a universal bad. It obviously depends on the objectives. Her objectives are to equalise all these demographics and its a bad objective. Something that can only be achieved by destroying principles that are more important such as freedom.

Can't believe someone I knew compared this woman to Margret Thatcher! The only comparison I can think of is that this woman sounds about as principled as a flag blowing in the wind whilst Thatcher was the iron pole upon which that flag has been distastefully mounted!

Not too bad. I've heard worse. It's traditional for new PMs to talk garbage in their first speech..... "Where there is discord, may we bring harmony" Thatcher, 1979. "A new day has dawned. Has it not?" Blair, 1997.
