TODAY WAS SO MUCH FUN, our first jumping lesson since like September 2018, and I'm so satisfied. We got to practise on some of the things we (I, lol) struggle with the most and Lars gave me some great tips that when applied, made a huge difference instantly and I'm excited to keep working with his tips in the back of my head!
I could feel such a huge improvement just from the start to the end of the lesson and I think you could really see how much more of a rhythm I managed to keep in the end and how she actually landed on the correct lead instead of bunny hopping in cross-canter!
Lars Rasmussen came all the way from Denmark and I'm grateful that I got to participate in a lesson with him :) I really hope I'll get to train for him again.
I decided not to put any music on, so if you're Norwegian/Danish/Swedish you'll probably be able to understand what he said ;D
Otherwise, I think I summed everything up in the video!
I'm wearing my GhoDho breeches and cruelty free belt, my Aztec Diamond Equestrian base layer shirt and Cara her Dapple Equestrian saddle pad, breastplate and bridle
with her Kentucky artificial sheepskin studgirth paired with my tendon, fetlock and overreach boots also from Kentucky Horsewear.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for the support:

Seeing her slow down in the canter during the circles was awesome. When she started understanding and waiting her jumps were so nice. Very good job with her Therese. It’s crazy how much she’s changed in mind AND body since you got her.

amazing to see Cara slowly figure out what you were asking and see her beginning to wait going up to fences. She seems to have such a great mind! it's also so nice to see someone so perceptive and willing to learn and take everything in

As you started pulling less and less notice how much her balance is affected! At first, she would almost always switch her front lead, but not her back, and she seems to have an extremely hard time re-engaging her hind end. As you started to pull less and less and build a rhythm, her balance got so much better! She started giving you cleaner changes, and not switching before jumps/in the lines. She seems to freak out a bit, due to the unbalance, when she's cross cantering (one lead in front, and a different in the back, not sure if it's called the same thing in Europe as the US), and that rhythm is something a young/green horse strives off of. It's so easy to pull on a horse, but this video just exemplifies the so many reasons being soft and supple to a horse benefits it. I think once you practice what you've been taught today for a couple more months, you're going to end up with a completely different horse in the best way possible! The change in Cara is incredible, and seeing her jump those little cross rails at the start of the video without freaking out shows me how much you've done with her!

I can't believe how amazing you and Cara are looking these days. I've been around since you first took her on and it's been so amazing to watch your transformation, especially after seeing all the criticism and hate you received. You're a true rider and Cara is so blessed to have you always gunning for her and never giving up! Excited to see where the next year takes you guys!

I always learn so much from your vlogs! I feel like Chievo is a smaller, fatter, not as good version of Cara so to see how you're working with her and hearing we have almost the same issues it's great! Cara was absolutely flying, it's mind blowing how rideable and careful she is

I'm Danish myself, and I almost can't understand what he's saying cause he has such a strong accent! xD In my riding club we also have a Swedish dressage trainer that teaches every Thursday and I understand more of what he's saying than him
@ThereseMoser
@ThereseMoser 5 жыл бұрын
That’s funny 😂 he’s been in Norway for ages but lives in Denmark now (he’s danish) I found him very easy to understand probably because he’s adjusted his language a bit so us Norwegians can understand him. I guess that’s why you think he has a strong accent, I had another danish trainer a few years ago that was so hard to understand, he didn’t adapt his language at all 😂 I find it super interesting though haha with different languages 🙈
@lucyk8054

i speak both norwegian and swedish fluently, so you'd think i would have some understanding of danish, but i literally couldn't understand a single thing he was saying lmao

Haha that’s funny I find it most Swedes and Norwegians understand each other and the Danes but a bunch of danish people that I know don’t understand Norwegian 😂 I think it’s what you’re used to. If you spend some time with someone danish I’m sure you’d understand in a while
