YES!!!! Thank you for saying that!! Being a feminist woman does not mean emulating men! Our feminine power is just different and it should be honored in all its beauty and glory. Rest does not mean weakness. Needing softness does not mean weakness... You have truly changed my life Dr. Mindy. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Steven is a very intelligent interviewer, I don’t think you should too much weight on some minor amount of people’s opinions. It was a great interview and soo happy you did it. The more men of all ages learn that women change with menopause, maybe the more marriages can be saved.

You are amazing, and changing the world for many woman. In many cultures, outside the US, a menstruating and postpartum woman is cared for. In terms of diet, menstruating herbal remedies, herbal baths, no physical stress on the body after postpartum, the list goes on. Unfortunately, we are losing that in our modern world.

I'm 50 and recovering from severe burnout. I'm appreciative of the recovery time and process, but a little sad that I was not able to take better care of myself along the way. We do what we must, and we don't know what we don't know. Stress and the demands of modern culture and the workplace is a sad state of affairs, with lots of lip service and unspoken demands and expectations. I love following you and learning so much about fasting, hormones, mindset, health. So much appreciation!

Wow! So grateful for the many ways you distill and elaborate on this information! I'm 67 with a family history high in hormonal cancers, and, of course, wish I'd discovered these unfolding research sooner, but at least now. I've been asking my doctors some of what I noticed seemed like symptoms of imbalances. I keep telling my 26yo daughter, It's normal to be healthy" and that what she is telling me is "radical acceptance" of my rapidly increased weight, and inflamation, and blurry vision and brain fog, all were not symptoms to be accepting of! Slowly turning things around, thanks to your informative inspiration! I've lost 24lbs and 5 inches, 30 and 6 more to go, pretty sure I've changed insulin resistence (although I need to order more test strips), working on metabolic flexibility, and after huge amount of stresses from losing our home in a landslide and then having all the building supplies and tools for rebuilding a tiny cabin, stolen, a daughter with out of state tuition even though working from a friend's converted storage room for final year, yeah stress has depleted every reserve I had. I know this will take time to rebuild my health, but so absolutely loving the process! I'm a scientist, and understanding how it all works and why, has made all the differences. Thank you for empowering us all to own our health!

Dr. Mindy I’ve learned so much new information that surrounds the female body. I have watched many of your interviews/podcasts since I’ve discovered you as of late. The recent one from Diary of a CEO was really thorough and just informative, but put in a different way than other interviews, so great job on that!! I do share your content/new knowledge on our female bodies to other women and my growing daughters. I did so just today with a woman I just met. As we were talking she had a hand held paper fan and said I’m sorry I’m having a hot flash. Boom I just had to share the knowledge I’ve learned with her, to help another woman so she can be informed! Like someone mentioned here and probably many women out there, I would have loved to have this information in my teens, 20’s and 30’s! Please keep up your dedication to inform us all about our bodies and to anyone who will listen. Mom’s and all women need space and care too!! I feel complacency/neglect/just the way it is…needs to change and have a different perspective and respect. Thank you so much❤️

Authentic Feminism i like that. Im 63. One didnt talk about their "friend". It was embarrassing, something to be ashamed of. Never taught how the hormones worked but then again, back then who knew. It will be an uphill battle to honor our female self in this patriarchal society. I cant see corporate america allowing it. 😕 maybe one step at a time a women will be honored as a vital member of society, and not just an accessory

Thanks Dr Mindy for bringing this up, truly truly grateful to you ❤️ That podcast with Steven, and this video, has made me aware of my body and hormones more than ever, even though I’ve been a student of health sciences. I was incredibly surprised at how the hormones run my body and mind, and how huge of an impact it has on my Social life, and my future health. Also, as you mentioned how there’s so little research on women’s health…. Like I was really frustrated when I got diagnosed with endo, and every time I searched for, and asked the doctors about the whys and hows of this condition, there was a plain agonising statement that there’s no cure, we can only manage, we don’t have sufficient research as to what’s the cause of it, etc etc. We REALLY NEED to have research on women’s health disorders and how to treat and prevent them

I am very grateful for your book and contribution! Ever since I started eating according to my cycle - I haven't known any menstrual cramps and my periods are much lighter. It's been challenging to work less during the week before period. It's going to be a great challenge to explain to men why we need more rest. They might use the argument that we should then be paid less than men and I wouldn't want that.

I hear you Dr Mindy! As they say life is marathon not a sprint and if we want to be effective for the long haul we have to practice selfcare and push away the thoughts or judgements that selfcare is laziness or that this means we are not achieving like our male counterparts, etc... Its investing in ourselves the way we would anything else in life that we value.

Okay, Dr. Pelz, two things! 1. I have come to love my cycle thanks to you! 2. Can you pleeeeease write a book for 13 year old girls? My daughter just started her first period this year and though I'm trying, I don't think I've convinced her to love her period just yet. I have a hard time explaining it the way you do and in terms a young girl can understand.

In the Philippines there is a proposed bill for menstruating women to be given at least 2 days paid leave for the first 2 days of the menstruation which happened to be the most challenging part of women who has dysmenorrhoea. But sadly, many employers opposed it and never been granted If I'm not mistaken. I as a sufferer of bad dysmenorrhoea really feel what you have just said Dr. Mindy. We need rest during those times.

We misdefine what " powerful, and strong" means. Even from the author in this vid, I can hear the meaning is still skewed. Also the reason women arent researched enough, is because *WE* have co-conspired in ignoring us! In our continual attempts at matching the men. That is how we got here.

I'm not on any meds or insulin and trying to bring my glucose levels down through intermittent fasting and exercise. I 'm worried that eating more carbs will increase my blood sugar levels to unhealthy levels. Can you advise on what diabetic women can do (food and exercise) a week before our periods? As a 41 year old woman (tomorrow 🎉) I wish it were easier to identify the week before my cycle. I’ve always had a 25 day cycle, so the days 1-12 ish you speak of for everyone else is just like days 1-6 for me. I’d assume the ovulating would be roughly 14 days before my day 1 so the shortness would be the first week, right?

Honestly, i feel that feminism ruined my health 1000%. All i wanted to be growing up was a stay at home wife and mother. I was absolutely not supported in that with the women in my life. They became very mean about it. Fast forward to losing my late husband and pushing through life as a single mother with no support because "i should be able to handle everything like a man," my health is shot. 3 diagnosed chronic diseases and still everything is on my shoulders with no relief in sight. Women are NOT supportive, there is no community any longer, at least in the USA with our toxic cult-ure. Be honest with your daughter's, please. They have to make choices for their health. Be honest about what those choices are and support them if they want to be a stay at home wife and mother because on an intrinsic level, they know its best for their health.
