You're right, many mechanics wouldn't do this, they would assemble the engine to specs.

This guy does some good looking work... I hope that he’s looking to make it work good. He didn’t show the cylinder honing, ring gapping, torquing, valve shimming, lapping, leveling, or other VERY IMPORTANT parts of doing a job like this. He DID put in a new cam shaft , new seals, new white metal, etc, so I’m going to assume that he did the other things as well.

That's because he did none of those things. All he did was wash shit, paint shit, replace rings and bearings (oh, and a cam) and tighten the shit out of things.

Интересно, сколько прослужит этот мотор ?! Просто поставил новые кольца, вкладыши, всё покрасил и собрал)) Ни тебе шлифовки блока, клапана не притёр, цилиндры на элепс не проверил, даже динамометрическим ключом не стал протягивать. Я в шоке от этого мастерового.

@@muhammadtofiq4451 many things, you sandblasted the block without covering the cylinders, you didn't fasten de bolts with a torq wrench and i think you didnt use a gasket for de cylinder head. i hope it starts so you can prove me wrong

What about set the timing properly? Ok he showed the markings on the gears, but how can he be sure, that the axis was in the proper position when putting back the gears onto the end?

I'm not even a mechanic and I cringed at the lack of properly torqued bolts, the spray can paint on the exhaust manifold and blasting the machined surface on the block, probably more I didn't notice but I'm no mechanic

와우!!! 분해시 캠샤프트가 손상됀것을 보아서 단순히 청소하고 페인트 칠해서 제데로 됄까 했는데 중요부품은 제데로 교체하셨네요 앞으로도 20십년은 끄떡없을듯 손재주 장난아니시네요 대단하십니다 ~~~ 잘보고 갑니다 ~~~

Very interesting restoration, well recorded. This must by Vietnam...home of the 50kM oil change. Back in the late 1960s while in country, I used to see many shade tree mechanics do amazing work on very old Renault & Peugeot engines. Somehow they got them to run again for taxi cabs.

@@Dim_ca Так это нормально, чурбанский вариант ремонта двигателя, и так сойдёт. Вместо динамика там труба используется, всё по дилерски. Расточка то ладно, но поверхность блока, где идёт стыковка с головкой, отпесочили и не шлифанули, это просто жесть. Насчёт герметика, постель распредвала вместе с распредвалом сажается к головке на герметик, только не на обычный,а на аэробный, он достаточно дорогой, а так как тут дешман вариант чурбанский, то и на обычный герметос сойдёт.

🇧🇷 🇧🇷 🇧🇷 Deu jato de areia , depois disso teria q dar um banho químico para retirar os vestígios de areia ( a areia é abrasivo e acaba rapidamente com as peças móveis, contamina o óleo do motor) , não utilizou torquímetro no cabeçote, nas bielas , nos mancais e nos parafusos de fixação do volante do motor , não trocou os selos do bloco e nem do cabeçote , apenas pintou o cabeçote, teria q ser desmontado e feito o serviço correto , não trocou a válvula termostática , pintou a bomba de óleo ( teria que ser trocado ). Poderiam ter feito o serviço correto , quiseram gastar pouco só para fazer o vídeo. .🇧🇷
