Just a heads up, the arm rest on the chair can be adjusted just by moving it forward. As for the foot rest, you can adjust by moving it down.

Thanks for the review! Just picked this up a few months ago. May be my favorite figure setup along with the Alex Murphy and Battle Damaged Robocop. Be sure to review that set as well!

Don't the arm and foot rests adjust forward and and down?
@RealDJblaze4 жыл бұрын
You can slide the arm rests forward on the rail that they sit on... Great review!

❓ Video Question - What other movie tie in Accessories would you like to see Hot Toys include with their Sixth Scale figures? Daily Channel Question

Would like to see Hot toys make a Herbert west figure with some lab items maybe even a metal table.

Helen Ripley with the Power Loader. Or a Xenomorph egg and facegugger with any of the Alien figures or the AVP predators. If they ever made the Joaquin Phoenix Joker It should have a small set of stairs and the chair he sits in on the Murray show. A motorbike for Arnie T2 terminator. I think I would like a backdrop in every figure. It's just cardboard. It doesn't raise the price at all but for some figures it's really nice to have them. Especially if they are part of a lineup and the backdrop could create a diorama.

Hi so your comment about the hands not having paint is wrong,they have paint what you are seeing is polystyrene from the box that has semi fused to the hand you can use blue Tac or a very soft guitar pick to get it off. This has happens a few times with the Hot toys iron man figures . Hope this helps.

I would imagine the chair is detachable from the base to make it easier to change the batteries and do the initial cable attachments 🤔 have fun and stay safe 😁😎

Aside from the adjustable armrests, the footrest is also adjustable. I always knew about the armrests, but I had RoboCop sitting in the chair for months before realising the footrest can move up and down. lol

Hey, Spot, are you sure the chair arms can't slide forward on the runners beneath them, to give a more accurate sitting pose? The photos of this figure I see online show the arms to be near the front of the chair rather than the back.

Great video, you forgot to mention that the arms of the chair can be adjusted forwards and backwards, and the bottom feet section where the feet rest can also be adjusted up and down.

I also don't display robocop seated as I'm worried about the joint rubber covers. I got mine when it was released years ago for 300 bucks and is still one of my favorite figures since I love robocop a lot.
@IllusionSector6 ай бұрын
I wonder if periodic application of compatible lube can prevent the rubber from deteriorating over time. If they've been able to preserve Lenin and Mao in their mausoleums for centuries, then surely we can keep those joints from falling apart. Since there's a tutorial with a guy applying leather conditioner to the coat of his Crow figure, I imagine there must be equivalent maintenance for rubber too?
@dredgewalker6 ай бұрын
@@IllusionSectorNo amount of protectant can fix the issue of the rubber that ht used in this toy. They should have used silicon instead as it's much more resistant to wear and tear plus it's a lot longer lasting than rubber which deteriorates in time no matter what protectant you use.
@IllusionSector6 ай бұрын
@@dredgewalker Oh, snap! I thought it *WAS* silicone rubber. ☹
@dredgewalker6 ай бұрын
@@IllusionSector Yeah it's rubber, the Ed209 even had worse rubber dome that deteriorated even when it wasn't even a stress area. And almost every ht figure that had a rubber suit just didn't last long even with precautions like a sealed display case. There's also one more weakness that the robocop figure has and that it used a clear plastic that holds the arms and thighs and some owners reported in them breaking.
@IllusionSector6 ай бұрын
@@dredgewalker _the Ed209 even had worse rubber dome that deteriorated even when it wasn't even a stress area_ Oh, yes! I've seen a video of it. What a horror show! I probably would've made it from fabric impregnated with epoxy - stretched it over a form of identical shape and soaked the material up via brushing, spraying, pouring, dipping, etc, and let it cure into a solid piece a la to carbon fiber. Or, how about just mold the darn thing in plastic? I guess they wanted it to feel a certain way to the touch(?) _it used a clear plastic that holds the arms and thighs and some owners reported in them breaking_ Oh crap. That's bad news. I din't know! Acrylic, though comparably much more inert than rubber, doesn't age like wine either does it? So if those clear parts are brittle out of the box, I can only imagine how brittle they'll become over time.

I like the head sculpt that you said you use the most with this RoboCop. Could have one battle damaged and one not. If you ever custom paint one of them I would like to see the finished product. Bummer you can't get the lights to work on the chair. Still a great display piece. thanks as always Spot.
