This is a great RoboCop that uses remote control well. Although first thing I do when I get a figure with batteries is remove them. Seeing that I put them in a display box or something similar. Real nice to have four head sculpt also. Magnets are always nice to see being used. We don't see moveable fingers anuff glad to see them here. This re review was very needed as to see that there has been no breaks in his joints. Something that always puts me off of hot toys seeing they cost so much. I would display him battle damaged. Moveable fingers work great when you have a robotic figure like Robocop or Ironman but I always wonder if it would work with figures that have gloved hands. Have the same kind of hands but also a glove over it. Would work for Terminator. The problem I can see is the stitching being too tick and it would prevent the fingers from closing. Maybe it wouldn't look good enough or practical enough for the trouble compared to a bunch of sculpted hands. 1/4 scale with rubbed hands that have wireframe maybe?

Robocop looks stunning in Hot Toys die cast figure form. I absolutely love the silver paint scheme and the shiny black that were utilized. The three alternate facial sculpts are a nice inclusion. The magnets are a nice touch. I really like the battle damaged helmet and upper torso. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot. I really appreciate the hard work. Keep it up!

Did you see the original model they made? I think it's codenamed mms10. Meaning it's the 10th figure they ever made. This version is in the 200th and I think they are into the 500 now. It's amazing to compare the 2 versions and see how far Hot Toys has progressed.

I got the version with the chair a few years ago when it was still decent price. I wish I got my hands on the battle damaged one too. I would swap the heads and have unmasked robocop with good body sitting on the chair and battle damaged version with the masked head that has a crack in it.

For these types of scratches you can use some brasso to remove them - used it previously and the results is always spotless

Robocop 2 could be done by repainting this one. For a very long time there was a project for 1/6 scale Cain by Threezero but it's been years since the last update. You can check google image for "threezero Cain" to see the unpainted prototype reveal.

Terrific looking figure. The Mafex figure swaps out the facial expressions and body damage the same way, although the Mafex one doesn’t use magnets. Very tempted to pick him up even though I don’t collect anything this scale 😄

PRO TIP: tuck the chin of the face plate in first, then rock the top back into place before putting the helmet on. Should help prevent scratches

I did a repaint on mine because as nice as this figure is I just had enough of the complete silver look. I got a cheap airbrush on Ebay, took the figure apart, taped off everything that wasn't silver and I just did a mist of transparent navy blue paint all over each piece. Now it look like he does in the movie AND in the Hot Toys pictures. i.imgur.com/7AGEUj2.jpg He's not blue like in the second movie but he is not silver anymore.

@@hawaianmobster1579 I think he is a little bit too colorful in 2. The range from dark blue to light blue and pink/purple make him look pearlescent. They went that way to make it look like he was upgraded after he was rebuilt at the end of 1. As bad as Robocop 3 is I like the color of the suit in that one. It range from Robocop 1 colors to a kind of midpoint between 1 and 2's blue tone. Not overly blue. Not pearlescent and not grey either. I painted my Hot Toys to be more like the first movie because that's my favorite and it's how he look in my mind when I imagine him.

He did. They messed the paint job on this. Hes way too silver. At most he should be dark grey. In the first movie he is blueish grey with some purple highlights. In the second movie he is navy blue with some pink and purple highlights. It almost make him look pearlescent. In the third movie it was doned down to a more greyish blue again. I repainted mine to be more like he was in the first movie. i.imgur.com/7AGEUj2.jpg It wasn't that hard either. I used a cheap airbrush and did a very light mist of transparent navy blue over every silver part until they were just right. Makes him less silver, more dark and gives it the hint of blue that he desperately needed. I think it is funny how a 20 to 30 dollar mass produced RoboCop from NECA has a MUCH more accurate version of how that leg opens the only downside with the NECA is the 'holster' itself does not slide out but the way the front panel pushes forward and the side panel swivels out and back is 100 times more accurate than this 100s of dollars version of the character.

A concern that was raised by others was that the rubber parts at the elbows and behind the knees dry up and crack. What do you think about treating those parts with some kind of rubber preservative? I have read reviews that this figure has more plastic on it than actual diecast. It's never worth the nearly £1200.00 asking price on Amazon now. Why the hell can't someone just release an affordable large sized RoboCop figure that every fan can afford? @@SidneyHurcombe The remake was not a bad movie but it was not as good as the original. Everything was toned down and then they covered it all up with CGI. It's normal that they didn't just do a shot for shot remake with the same exact plot but to me Murphy being actually dead and not just severely injured completely change the tone of the movie. In the original it's a crucifixion and rebirth then we see the machine slowly turn back to into Murphy.
