Hi Jeff Thank you for the good explanation of phasing, it is simple but I have always complicated it. Great series Mate!

Hey Jeff, just a quick comment regarding demo windows or doors in case it help others: as you are showing in the video, If you demo a window Revit automatically will fill in that void with the same wall type that was hosting the window. The issue with that is if you want to schedule that new 'wall infill' as part of your 'new construction walls' to get for example the total linear meter of internal partition. That 'new wall' will show in your new wall schedule but it WONT have a length parameter associated with (blank parameter). Therefore, the total linear meter for the previous mentioned internal partition example would be wrong. Perfect solution would be for Revit to allow us to select either YES/No if you want to fill that demo window with a new wall. Then if YES, keep the length parameter on that wall. Nevertheless, the current best solution is to use the 'CUT' command clicking first the new infill wall, then clicking in the wall that was hosting the window. That will get rid of the infill wall, then simply we could create a new wall manually to fill that void, which it will show correctly in the schedule Also, the previous solution is useful if you want to demo a door but keep the void open in the new construction phase. 🙂 Cheers

Great point … I should have mentioned that the “infill” walls have some caveats !!

Hi Jeff. I watched your recent video about Lumen in Twinmotion 2023 and said you don't use sync model because you use phasing and design options in your projects. I watched this video but here you used Enscape :) I was wondering Can you make a video about how to manage Revit to Twinmotion workflow when using a lot of design options and phasing. especially when I want to Render two or more alternatives for client. Thank you

Hi, thanks for the video. I'm new to Revit and this function. I'm just wanting to know, how the sheets for this will be set up. I see you have demo, existing and new sheets set up for each level. Are these automatically created? and can I put a demo and existing floor plan on the same page when I wish to print? thanks!

You can put whatever views you want on whatever sheet. You will have a view for each phase...

Hi. Regarding phasing, i have a question that i found no real solution for. I have existing exterior walls that i want to keep, but, i want to add new layers of materials, insulation and finishes. How do i show in a plan view only the existing parts, and in a new plan, the existing and new parts of that wall? We call it red and yellow plans (yellow demolished, red new). I tried duplicating the wall, but then the windows and doors bug, cause they would have to be hosted by two walls... some do some dont. Please find me a solution and post a video about it. Thanx in advance, and thanx for all the videos already posted.

Make two walls based on the layers... It's actually pretty straight forward! lol
