I suddenly realised that this is the same Jonathan Green that recently passed. It is equal parts revelatory & heartbreaking seeing this collection brought to Theriault’s as it would only have been recently that this was someone contemporary’s collection. Seeing the research, minutia and the dolls he loved placed into an auction seems untimely. Lovely to see, though, as Mrs. Theriault often reminds us we are just caretakers of the dolls we collect, this auction especially brings this observation home with a deafening thud. 🥺❤️‍🩹🙏🏼🕊️

Many many thanks for this wonderful presentation about Kathe Kruse. I loved learning about her history and oh my goodness that box full of wonderful treasures of paper is amazing. Still so much to learn. Also thank you so much for your kindness with my dear friend's dolls and collections. The way you are presenting them shows how much Jonathan cared for and studied these lovely lovely creations. He left behind a beautiful collection that was built with love.

I love Kathe Kruse and wish her name would be pronounced correctly. She was not a surfer girl. Jonathan tried to get people to say it correctly “Kat-a Kru-sa”
