The first to make a robotic man is the island’s Muslim scholar Badīʿ az-Zaman Abu l-ʿIzz ibn Ismāʿīl ibn ar-Razāz al-Jazarī was a Muslim polymath: a scholar, inventor, mechanical engineer, artisan, artist and mathematician from Jazira. The Chinese were already writing about and describing them somewhere around 200-250 B.C. and the Greeks had doors operable by altar fire and wine-pouring automata for guests, about three-hundred years after. Nevertheless, al-Jazari was a phenomenally bright mind. Too bad they, for whatever reason? wouldn’t endeavor to develop and preserve automation like they did with chemistry and physics.

The corsets were strung so tight back then, the women couldn't even breathe! Thus the design of the 'fainting couch' (Thank The Lord many women now are not slaves to conform to such uncomfortable and unhealthy fashions... well, some are, lol). Love automata's, they are my very favorite doll types. Be blessed
