I went through homelessness. It really destroys you. It was through god i stayed sane and motivated.
@thewaywelive27756 жыл бұрын
I went through homelessness too and it was through me I stayed sane and motivated. It was me who washed myself every morning on the train station toilet. It was me who dragged myself to work and kept up appearance (for a good while). Lost my job found a new one. God didn't help me when I was fired nor did he help out during my jobinterviews. All praying does is give you window of reason to be motivated and not give up. Picking yourself up was all you.

I met Willie Aames while I was working on the cruise ship where he was working as a cruise director. He has such a wonderful personality, he is so kind to everybody, including crew. He never missed the chance to say nice words for ship's crew. Not many people were so nice as him! I was very surprise when I heard his story, because I didn't know he was famous before. I wish him all the luck and happiness in his life and new marriage.

These tragic stories seem so surreal, but they are true. I was homeless for a while. I am an ivy leaguer who had a substantial career. I was drinking alcoholically after loosing a parent and it progressed. I lost EVERYTHING important to me. I moved in with my remaining parent, a dead beat dad, who hadn't really invested much in me as a child. I move in with him and his family, and after some turmoil, am told to find other accomodations. I had NO ONE. He abandoned me again in life. This was many , many years ago. I found my way to a rehab after a lot of battles, assault even, and I live to be grateful now for EVERYTHING! It's not always about the addiction; but you MUST watch who you invest your faith and funds in.

Cary O is right, with the thought that drug abuse seems to be a common result of "money & no common sense".
@AdmiralBison6 жыл бұрын
*we all take drugs, we smoke it, we drink it and we buy it over a counter* and too much of any of it is harmful to us, I'm not saying drug abuse isn't a factor. I am saying it is not necessarily the cause, but more of a symptom to something else. there are many famous people who take both legal and illicit drugs, but it doesn't mean it counts for those who fall on hard times, or commit suicide. an example is Robin Williams, he took legal drugs, drinks but had a premature death. the underlying issue was deep bouts of depression. many musician are notorious for a lifestyle of drugs and alcohol (which is a drug as well), and most are able to get through fine and it is not what causes many of the problems , but those who passed away prematurely often have drugs as a factor, but it's actually never the underlying issue. a common factor or correlation is not necessarily the causation and to say it is, escapes the investigation of the root cause.

1) If you have the money INVEST 2) Addictions are a bad habit and an expensive one, whether it's to chocolate, smoking, booze or even chocolate 3) Humble yourself and save 4) Make sure the people who are financially involved aren't scammers, or have weird intentions. It's hard but it's worth having a close eye out.

Also, don't pick pro sports. It's amazing how pro sports figures make $100 million in a few years and blow it all in less than 2 years. And most of them neeever learn. There's a video about sports figures who definitely are broke but keep acting like they're worth millions: they keep buying jewelry and fancy cars while taking vacations everywhere.

*REAL FRIENDS* would have invited you into their house, and not let you live in their car. My mom took a young homeless, drug addicted guy who also suffered from Bi-Polar. I was 15 at the time and we lived in a spacious 1 bedroom apartment in NY. My mom put up *dry-wall* and created a 2nd bedroom in our living room so that he could have his own personal + private space. She helped him through his addiction, got him the *therapy* he so badly needed, gave him love & understanding and held his hand every step of the way until he was able to stand on his own 2 feet, and then got him a job, and he worked until he was able to save and get his own place and have money in the bank for a "rainy day" ; it took all of 5 years, and all of this was done for a total *STRANGER* and youre saying your so-called _friends_ let you sleep in their car? They should be ashamed of themselves! Those people were NEVER your friends😐 I hope you are doing much better and are in a far better place in your life since then. 😔🙏

@@freddawgmankilla673 I am happy it did. Here is my "personal" belief, and something that everyone should adhere to, regardless of "religious beliefs" or not. It is something, ( _a verse, stated in the Bible, John 15:13_ ) which should resonate in all of us : *There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.* The "key word" is *LOVE* --- and that when we do something in this life, especially for OTHERS ---- it should be done, and it should come from a place of LOVE. I hope that people will continue to believe and to SPREAD "Love" unto one another. *Love* is the only engine of survival. ❤

@mikehartman69615 жыл бұрын
Because years ago in around the 1980's Randy had a great investment plan. And he convinced Dennis to put up a very large sum of money. Randy handled everyone else's money the same way he handled his own. Randy has a lot of problems, Many people close to both of the Quaid brothers lost everything. Randy isn't just paranoid when he thinks people would like to kill him

Of all the riches to rags stories and names that you spoke, there was the star who was never homeless and certainly would have job offers galore if it weren't for a fateful accident. It was Christopher Reeve, and his being thrown by his horse resulting in paralysis. Inside my mind, I contemplated how devastating it must have been to have been Superman today, and truly helpless tomorrow. That was sad. Eventually, he died due to his physically degenerative state quite a while back. But it is good to know his plight was not forgotten. RIP

I live in Seattle, WTF are you even talking about?! WTF does welfare have to do with going bankrupt dumbass?! Yeah, it's those poor people getting a whole $137 a month that's making everyone go bankrupt, (eye roll), not the housing market crashing because of corrupt banks, or rich people getting even more tax breaks while middle class taxes go up. Really?! Or maybe you meant CORPORATE WELFARE? I doubt it. Go blame people barely surviving, that makes sense. (I'm not on welfare, but I know people who are because their health is failing and it takes years to get on disability. Also, I know people who work 2 full time jobs and still need food stamps because they don't get paid enough to get by) I hope someday you need help and have to live off $137 month.
