Another excellent performance : perfect instrumentalists, perfect sound, last but not least- perfect voices. Frankly speaking, I was a bit afraid, when I found out, that nonpareil Lora Lewis stopped touring with the band. Now I must admit, that Ms Chiara managed to fill Lora' s shoes, though it' s not an easy task. LEMURIA proves it very well. Twice me and my wife visited THERION's shows here in Russia. Now we are eager to see the band as many times, as they come to this country.

Christofer Johnsson um gênio com certeza...mas deixou a bola cair por não controlar seu ego astronômico na minha opinião! Conheci a banda Therion no seu inicio porque sempre curti som extremo, mas fiquei decepcionado na época que mudaram de estilo, mas revi meus conceitos e essa banda virou a minha preferida ao lado do Marduk mesmo sendo estilos diferentes...em 2004 fui ao show que fizeram em São Paulo até hoje sinto um frio na espinha ao lembrar desse show o melhor que fui na vida e para mim aquela foi a melhor formação do Therion... mas o gênio indomável de Christofer Johnsson sempre inventando onda quis colocar Snowy Shaw como mais um vocalista e foi ai o inicio do fim...era melhor o cara acabar com a banda do que ficar se humilhando!

¡Totalmente de acuerdo! Se me hacen super disfrutables sus shows. Por supuesto que suenan diferentes, cada voz nueva que entra es distinta, pero el nivel sigue siendo muy alto. Chriara le hace justicia a todo el repertorio de Therion. De hecho, prefiero a Lori Lewis pero por una cuestión de gusto personal, aun así es indiscutible el talento de Chiara, una gran profesional.

The singer with best technique Is Chiara, then Lori (even when her voice is nicer than Chiara's). I am talking about technique here. For voices... I think Karin and Lori would have been an out of this world duet.

Everyone's complaining about the new lineup and here I am thinking that's a cool looking bass. Change is inevitable though. Needless to say, Chiara is perfect for the band.

In general, I don't think the band is as bad as people make it seem to be. Technically, most of the musicians on stage are up to the standard set by previous members. However, I do think , the band has shift away towards a more theatrical / showman experience with the wierd costumes or the antics of some of the vocalists to be the main center of attention. I couldn't stand Snowy Shaw as a frontman, Linnea seems rather... meehh. Although Thomas is really talented he doesn't quite fill Mats Leven's shoes... and so on. I'm more a fan of the regular metal band look and I certainly enjoyed the choir at the back getting their job done quite perfectly and letting the other muscicians do their thing. Look at Wacken 2001 or Mexico 2004. All in all, to each their own, I still enjoy seeing them live mostly for their past work. I hope they go back a little bit like that, now with Sami Karpinen back and as you said Chiara is doing a great job. Things might turn in the right direction again.

Great gig. Lori doesn't want to tour, so what can they do? She is still counted as a member of the band and does studio work, so I give em credit for keeping her on in some capacity. Ive seen them a lot of times since the early 00s, and the 2007-11 gigs and the this-onwards are excellent periods of Therion's career I think.

Am I the only one who was too visually distracted by Christian Vidal being the earthly incarnation of elegance and beauty to notice stuff like questionable zipper placement and such..? Also lol at people complaining about "the costumes", did you really come to the inventors of symphonic metal looking for understatement? Symphonic metal is the opposite of this very concept. If you don't like it, go back to your basic "Anything beyond blue jeans and 2 different power chords per song is frilly" bands. Personally, I'm glad that the bold artistic vision behind this band keeps getting developed into new and different directions. It's what keeps me interested even after 15 years of listening to them. Here's to many more musical adventures and many more vocalists who each bring their own unique interpretation of the material to the stage!

For what it is worth, I am with you on what you said about Therion. I was not into European symphonic meta because I have heard it before. Was listening to bands like System of a Down, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Muse and Coldplay. Also was giving a serious listen to the favourite music, singers and bands of my parents' and grandparents' generations. Old school jazz, blues, soul, gospel and r & b have fantastic singers technically and artistically. A friend showed me Nightwish's "Showtime Storytime (Wacken 2013) in 2014. I thought, hmmm, interesting music. And then got the whole of Nightwish's album and live DVDs/BluRays because of "Ghost Love Score". Loved the Nightwish-Tarja era more since because it epitomized what symphonic metal should sound like to me then. And this same friend, more familiar with European metal bands, said I should give Therion a listen. I did. Got all their albums and live DVDs/BluRays and are now my favourite European symphonic metal band together with Nightwish-Tarja era. But Therion is one another level completely. They are uncompromising in utilising operatic male and female solo and chorus vocals, making their music not bombastic, but epic, grand, majestic and beautiful. Therion live at Wacken 2001 with chorus is fantastic. At 2007 a lot of fun with Lori and Katarina and fabulous vocals. And here, still ok and Chiara did well. But while they seem shambolic on stage at both Wacken 2007 and here, vocally and musically, they are better than most other bands supposedly in the symohonic metal genres like Within Temptation and Epica for the sheer power and beauty of their music. I love their "Live Gothic" and "The Miskolc Experience" very much too - the former concert showing their punch and bite, the latter, the beauty of their songs with an orchestra and chorus. I do love Mats Leven and Lori Lewis performing live in this band as much I I love Tarja in Nightwish, but, at least there's their albums, live DVDs/BluRays as well as KZbin to listen and/or see the favourite songs and performances of Therion and Nightwish. Therion es increíble ...pueden pasar un montón de vocalistas diferentes te podés encariñar con algunos más que con otros pero siempre va a ser therion...aguante!
