Fall is NOT the time to prune your plants. The temptation to prune and clean your plants at this time of year is never higher. However, it is a huge mistake to start trimming your fruit trees, shrubs, and other perennials in the Northern Hemisphere in the fall. With dormancy not fully set it, you run the risk of bud break and stimulating new growth dangerously too close to the upcoming first frosts.
Join me in this new video as I explain the dangers of fall pruning inn your Rosemary, Raspberries, Roses, Grapes, and Figs. The care you take for these perennial plants in your garden now and through the winter will pay dividends throughout the spring and into the next harvest! Specific pruning and care tips for each crop I grow on the farm are going to be added every week, so make sure to subscribe so you don't miss anything!
