I'm so glad I found your channel because of the bowie challenge. You have a great aesthetic sensibility that takes your knives to a whole other level comparted to most knife makers I watch.

Man you do beautiful things with your work. I have always loved your handles. I do mine like you freehand and almost the same style. when I found your videos you have helped me put that refined look on them so thank you so very much for that, keep making them and I will keep watching them.

Thank You for another Great video.. I appreciated you using 3M sandpaper.. Here in Detroit , Michigan I made sandpaper for 3M for 32 years. It’s nice to see you like the quality. Keep them coming my friend, I’m doing my first ever antler handle right now. New experience for sure, especially with a hidden tang…..

I anxiously await when that notification pops up that you have posted another video. I love how you do the series. What's happening on the insanity builds? Can't wait to see those finish up.

Great episode Eric! And also beautiful knife! I've tried to cut paper towel and I failed :P.. I think it's not only a blade geometry but also a technique I don't have lol.. I love 5160- people underestimate it. I've made a cool video from testing 5160 chopper not so long ago :) - double ABS journeyman test, 3" nail cutting and it survived it without any demage.

I wish you could teach me your passion and drive. I had it for about 3 months. Now I'm just....blah.

so you go from 80 grit on the oscillating sander to 320 by hand? I see to have to start around 120 to get the sanding lines out first and then work up.
@mikemeinders67173 жыл бұрын
I agree you can make a great looking blade but if the handle sucks as to the feel then it's all crap. I never do lines either it has to feel good in the hand...

Isn't 5160 easier prone to rust
@theriversexperience93833 жыл бұрын
I've had the least issues with my 5160 knives rusting. The 10XX series steel knives have more issues on my end.
@theriversexperience93833 жыл бұрын
But when it boils down to it, high carbon anything is prone to rust if not maintained properly.
