Very informative, thank you! Would you have any comments on the safety of using Ultrasound skin tightening devices like Medicube Deep Shot and L & L Skin? These devices claim to heat collagen in the deep skin layer to stimulate more collagen production. Do you see long term negative effects on the body? I'm concerned that those devices could cause cavitation which could lead to cell damage from the free radicals created by the cavitation but I'm not sure if that would be considered a long term effect. Thank you for your time!

I'm a little confused about the relationship between the spatial average and the beam uniformity ratio. You said that the spatial average is equal to the spatial peak divided by the beam uniformity ratio, and that the beam uniformity ratio is the spatial peak divided by the spatial average. It seems like there's something kind of circular about that. What I mean is that in order to determine what the spatial average is, one would first need to know what the beam uniformity ratio is, but in order to determine what the beam uniformity ratio is, one would already need to know what the spatial average is, since the the spatial average is the denominator of that fraction. So therefore, in order to calculate the spatial average one would already have to know what the spatial average is. That can't be right. What am I missing? This was an excellent course by the way. I look forward to testing my knowledge with your ultrasound question bank.

Hi 👋🏼 sorry for the delay. I use PowerPoint for everything 🙂 in the MRI module I have been making 3D diagrams and for this I use a free program called tinkercad. Hope this helps!

POCUS will definitely change the approach of clinical medicine at all levels, primary to tertiary level care. How then it’s so imperative, according to me, that every clinician master this skill.( ALARA always considered). So wish was introduced to this as an undergraduate… Thank you Dr, your explanations are so comphrensive🙏🏽💕💖
