Does this camera help you see leaks for hvac residential? If a leak is in the line set or coil
@agx012Ай бұрын
You're better off buying an IR or heated diode refrigerant leak detector for that, DO NOT BUY AN ULTRASONIC! Thermal imagers are useful for diagnosing electrical issues and issues caused by damaged/missing insulation, theyre not very useful for the residential hvac tech, you can use it to help you do duct balancing but theres better tools out there for that too

I would love to get that but it's probably a couple Grand. So I'm going to start off with something cheap like the flir one pro that connects to my phone

It's under 1k. The Hikmicro E1L is under $500

yup, and I use the built-in "FLIR" camera on my Ulefone 11T (an android phone, $700). It's funny yous HVAC folk call it "thermal", and y'all electricians insist on "IR"

Hello there want to know if you could see if the head pressure control valve in thermal imaging is functioning properly?

I use the FLIR TG165 and cannot count how many times that the camera has paid for itself. From leaking ductwork to electrical troubleshooting, definitely a must have for your tool box.
