Are you really supposed to put the marcel in the trash bag? And are we supposed to have a separate box/container for reusable tools that need to be sanitized ?

Did you pre-curl those sections before the test? Or did you use a plugged in iron in another part of the test that I haven't seen?

Jakenna Deas The curls are On half off and Off on the top of the head and the two on the side are your choice. No figure 8 curls needed on the MD practical. Hope this helps!! Happy testing

These are figure 8 curls, figure 6 are Spyro looks like Shirley Temple curls just so you can recognize him when you see him although I'm in Michigan and in every state is a different type of test they're all similar there's a few things that's different and others still continue asking questions and look at mini videos as you can I hope this is a help as a pointer for you be blessed!!!

Do you have to use Marcel iron, or you can use any curling iron and what size it should be . thank you

Nomeda Bujanauskiene I believe it needs to be a marcel iron because it’s says u need to manipulate the iron properly and to me that means marcel iron and we use a 3/4 inch iron but I don’t think there is any specific size

nope . I did without marcel .

They do prefer the marcel but technically no. You do need to manipulate the hair correctly though just like when you are using a marcel even if you have a spring loaded iron.

That’s right! You remove the draping for the thermal curls, each section after this will have its own draping. You need a cape for the thermal a cape for the haircut a cape for the perm and a cape for the chemicals

Virginia doesn't allow you to pre-section your mannequin but calls for cold iron thermal curling so idk what to do ):

Hair Hero great question! You are not allow to plug in the iron at the test, so you do want to prep the hair before going with the 5 curls and make sure you remove any clips before going into the exam.

Ellie McKenna not just at the beginning of the the service after the draping. Testing the temp once on the neck strip will satisfy the practical task line. Make sure you do it in order!! :) happy testing
