If you get a macro lens for the seek it's unbelievable how much better the camera is for board repair. I was going to purchase a better camera but have no need to now. (I use a seek compact XR).

I’ve tried the FLIR One and Seek, but the P2 blows them both out of the water when it comes to clarity. The thermal images are so sharp, I was able to spot a tiny gap in my insulation that I missed with the Seek camera.

Using the FLIR One for years, but after trying the P2, I can’t go back. The P2’s image quality is clearer, while FLIR One just didn’t have the same crispness, and it missed smaller temperature differences

Can not agree anymore!!I like this way more than my FLIR I've had for three years-honestly, such a great buy! The image quality blew me away; I’ve even used it on my car to see where a relay was sticking, which helped me nail down exactly which one was acting up.

P2 pro is the best choice, with the macro lens you can see clearly the MB every component is in the screen. I got mine about a year ago an it was 180. Love your videos, I love learning and I have learned a lot watching you, keep the hard work and have a nice day.

You should read the manual first: "The FLIR ONE Pro is tuned to align thermal and visual images at a distance of 3 meters. To view scenes close-up, use the MSX Distance slider control. Tap MSX Distance control to activate the slider control, then adjust the alignment by sliding the control. To exit the slider control, simply tap the icon again."

In Flir ,heat a resistor up and adjust the heat overlay in menu while viewing the resistor. Done. I have the first Flir.

I think the ETS13S is better than both of them. You can have it showing the hot spot and the coldest spot while measuring a specific point. Using the available macro lens works well for electronics repair. I paid £123.00 for both the meter and the lens on Aliexpress.

Last year researched thermals and the prices are little cheaper and much more portable than a decade before, unfortunately I went with a cheap model on Ebay that plugs into Android and I pretty much threw my money out the window.

Regarding the FLIR, agreed, too expensive for what you get, but there are a few things that were missed in this review. Note, I have the iPhone/IOS version, please keep this in mind as I mention the following: One - the parallax can be adjusted, two - you have crosshair on the screen with the temp at that point, three - when you take a photo you get the IR img as well as the VL image and you can peel back the IR img to see the VL img. These are just the first few things that came to mind that were missed, figured it would be worth mentioning. Note, I have had my FLIR One pro for over six years now and the battery is showing its age, IOW, it last about a half hour or so...

Just to be clear... I'm not trying to complain here. But just to clear this up, I asked Thermal Master if the P2 can run on iPhone; they replied "no sorry, only P2 pro can work with iPhone."

I think cross-platform compatibility (Android + iOS) is the way forward for them, similar to Hikvision. (Of course, I feel Hikvision’s resolution isn’t as clear as Thermal Master’s.) Recently, the prices of thermal imaging cameras have been unreasonably high, which I find baffling. Yet, there’s very little promotion of Thermal Master on KZbin. I believe truly great products deserve to be discovered.🤔
