Hi, Mike. Very nice case. But I still want it's big brother, the C750. Personally, I love the 90 degree mobo rotation. I had a couple other cases like that.

Wow what a showcase! Such quality and good design to give you so much flexibility at a great price! For me i like the idea of the motherboard io being at the top as use mine a lot with enclosures and usb's but the access would drive me nuts lol Great review Mike , Kath and another gem from Thermaltake🐈👍

I really want one of the CTE cases but cant decide between the c700 and the t500. As for the cables you could always buy short extension cables or hub so you have sockets outside the case for very regulerly unplugged devices. If you have a 3D printer you could make a little holder that looks like a hub to hold the ends of the extension cables neatly on the desk.
@mikesunboxing

i think if i was using this long term the cable extensions would be a must and some form of breakout box would be useful

yes if you want to add hard drives, add/remove usb connections etc, put in a keyboard usb etc its a real pain, also the cables to the graphics card put pressure on the outputs as the cables have to bend 90 degrees to plug them in. add .5m to all your cables. Ok for a do it all during the build and never touch again but otherwise its just hardship for no return.

i actually agree with this, i am also not fully sold on the IO aspect of the CTE cases and have said this a few times.

I swear I have been visualizing this exact layout for some time now, and something closer to the Thermaltake CTE T500 since around 2016. . I waited for like a decade for Silverstone to do something like this and finally ended up conceding defeat when i went ahead and purchased an Alta F1 last year knowing all the limitations at... wait for it... $300!!! I would have kept the case if my GPU performed well in it (Pulse 6800XT) but due to the flat laptop style heatpipes it would overheat in 90 degree rotation. I sent that case back. I had convinced myself I would at some point be contacting Protocase or the like to build me a custom enclosure similar to these cube-ish designs at who knows how much money, but thankfully I won't have to. I think this is my next chassis.. I'm stoked to see it's well thought out and decently priced! I'd love to say I could utilize the CTE 750 but that's probably not true.. and I think I like this better than the CTE C500. But it's great to have a nice variety of options with this series, I really think TT outdid themselves. The 700/750 are like the culmination of of a Silverstone FT or RV 02 and a Caselabs Merlin SM8 all in one package, minus the crazy cost of either one... brilliant!

glad you liked it. For me in my setup it is a bit too big for my desk or background, otherwise it would be in use as my daily driver for video editing

@@mikesunboxing Ya it's cool. I like the 90 degree format for 3 reasons. I think the GPU hanging vertical looks the best and it eliminates sag, and to me the mobo I/O at the top seems ideal. Of course those are subjective reasons and I can see why it doesn't work in everyone's situation with their desk and all. I have my PC on a short table next to my desk. If I had to nitpick this case it would be exterior I/O should be on the front since you can access mobo I/O at the top... and at least on the 750 the cables should run straight out the back closer to the top panel. Maybe there is a reason why you can't, especially on the narrower CTE 500 but I wouldn't know for sure unless I seen it in person. Anyway thanks for your review, you gained a new follower..

This 700/750 series is nice by CTE orientation and sacrifices take some getting used to by this old fashioned PC builder. Although made primarily for extensive liquid cooling builds it still has lots to offer to us old fashioned air cooler guys. I personally, got burned too many times on liquid AIO CPU cooling kits due to their propensity to lose their pumps just outside of 2 years regardless of brand make of AIO kit. The difference between this CTE-700 and the CTE-750 are really minor, the rear back I/O grommet is replaced by a 1 by 2 inch open rectangle. 4 top USB 3.0 connections instead of 2 and that's it.

" their propensity to lose their pumps just outside of 2 years regardless of brand make of AIO kit." that's not common at all, you have VERY bad luck (but also, interenet, so perhaps liar due to aircooling fanboyism, but I dont like assuming the worse, so I wont)

I have seen more than one video with someone putting 420 rads on the front and back, and this thing is bigger than o11d evo xl which does officially support 420's all over the place, so what is up with Thermaltake and these official specs? I mean on video was using Thermaltake radiators for godsake!
