Someone was nice enough to leave a pull wire from my basement to my attic in my 100 yo house. Its twice the length to be able to pull it back and forth. Ive seen this on boats so I knew why it was there and didn't remove when I moved it. Good tutorial on 24 volt thermostat. If guess you could troubleshoot with a jumper on the thermostat panel. If it wont fire a break in the wire. Or break out a multimeter I suppose and read it coming in and out.

Quick question, why do you think a pressure relief valve would go off several times in 4 hrs on a single pipe system.

@@PipeDoctor I swapped the valve and a new pressure gauge. Now it reads 5psi for the second floor unit. Should be fine considering it has to travel up.

I can answer that. Not very many in his area so no need. Where I live in Northern Westchester it’s only oil cause there are no NG lines. So any HVAC pros around here don’t do gas. Just oil.
