14-19 ftlb for the bolts. I bought a new thermostat housing from Mazda because the little steel pipe for the coolant hoses at the front of the housing corroded and eventually causes leaks. Given the amount of dismantling required to get this part changed, I figured it was well worth it for peace of mind. Just a thought.

thanks good to know, im changing my crank & cam seals, changing all the hoses & figured id change the thermostat "while im down there"

@@lasvegascrisis Buy oem cam seals. The cheap blue ones from mx5 parts started to leak after 6 months. I’ve just started the car after stripping it down again and replacing them. Much faster second time around, and hopefully no leaks this time🤞🏻

No gasket or RTV needed? Just the O ring and clean surfaces? I'm replacing my thermostat housing due to the nipples cracking. Great video 😁. Thanks
