When do you start controlling the temperature with the Billows? Immediately after you light the charcoal?

Its actually designed to me mounted sideways. Not with thw fan port down. You can tell im right by how much it sagged when mounted fan hole down.

Wont choking the fire create dirty smoke? I always control temp at the stack.

this changed my life also. the staff at thermoworks could not make it work with my i phone. what a waste of my time and money. i had to pay 40 dlls to send it back /so to me this was a pos. no help from factory . the tried but tell me how to make it work .. again POS!
