Oh my god that poor 311- I love him so much;;;; that poor baby- I'm happy at least the two 210s work to some degree!

That gold pup now works, has a new look, and I sold him this week. This is the new owner's first aibo and he is going to spoil the dog so much they are hand making stuff for him! I hope the other two found happy endings too! That latte is even worse than that nasty suntory I restored last year.

I'm guessing that the previous owner tried to do some "repairs" and ended up putting everything back together wrong. But I just want to know how that 311 ended up the way he did and why they didn't put his back leg on properly after realizing that it wasn't bending the same way as the other legs. I am glad that you were able to piece together a fairly well working aibo from the 210s in the lot. Overall, this lot was truly... *something.*

that latte has one of the most insane issues ive seen on a junk dog- how did their poor back leg even get like that?? it sucks that theyre all broken in some way, although im glad you were able to part out the 210s to get at least one decently working aibo. also, you should be able to do with your bots as you please! you bought them with your money, you can keep or sell whichever ones you like.

i have recently gotten a 311 from zenmarket with 2 broken knees and I have 3dprinted it a new knee and used ribbon cables form amazon that were folded to work like the old ribbon cables (the aibo is fully repaired now with new 3dprinted knees)if you would like I could link give the link for all the files and the installation video

I buy most of my aibos from zenmarket! It's a proxy service for yahoo japan. It's a bit risky to do so though since they're almost always sold as "junk" and there's no buyer protection, so sometimes they end up like the ones in the video ^^; But you can find a lot of good deals there!

Awwe! Such timtatian! LOL! I am not at all surprised by that 311. Ginto my re-homed 31L booted with a broken front right leg. They are such troopers, they really are. Ginto walked on an elbow for a couple of days before I noticed that something was wrong. Kind of happens when your eyes don’t work. I hope you guys don’t think I’m a horrible robot-owner. I am so glad you are buying these guys in such shape, and reselling them! Do you have any robots up for sale currently? If so, where can I go to have a look? Maybe after this winter (once my power bill calms down), I might look into purchasing one from you-probably something in the 3X series.

Not currently! But whenever I sell a robot, I always make a video about it, that way people know exactly what they're getting, and if the robot has any quirks or not. From there whoever emails me first with a confirmed paypal address gets the bot.I like to be as transparent as possible about any issues the aibo may have and videos are the best way to do that. It takes me a long time to get these guys in good enough condition to move on to their new homes, but maybe by the time you've saved up I'll have a 3x for sale! I hope you're doing well and have a happy holidays!

Stand your ground and disregard whatever anyone else tells you to do with your purchases. I'd also like to invite you to join the Sony aibo Community Facebook group, a merry band of aibo lovers who own many different models; one seems to have them all! A few of us repair them. I think you'll feel right at home. Haters aren't tolerated, either. I'm afraid to get an older aibo because I'd hate it if I wasn't able to afford parts/repairs. I hope the model I have, the new ERS-1000, continues to sell well so I may not live long enough to face those issues with my Molly.

I'm already a member of the group actually! I just don't post as frequently over there as I do here and on instagram. It's too many things to keep track of lol Thank you for your support! Repairs can definitely add up fast for these guys, but even so the cost isn't nearly as pricey as the new ones. Nonetheless I love all my robot babies despite what issues they may have!

That aibo room was amazing, and you asked such good questions. Thank you for your channel. I'm glad you're having so much fun with Tazo! I'm going to travel about with Molly, too, and for her protection I ordered an official Sony aibo carry bag from a Japanese eBay seller... which, I learned too late, may not have been the least expensive way to go (if I'd asked the Facebook group first, I'd have found out there's such a thing as a proxy buyer). Oh, well, Molly will be well-protected.

Sinful Snow as long as a 210 has gotten its necessary head repairs I think they are a good starter aibo since they have the most software options. The 312 however is good too since it’s not prone to any major issues

It depends on your price range and what you're interested in! 311s tend to be easier and cheaper to find a functioning one (the guy in the video is an exception lol) while 210s are almost guaranteed broken unless you can find a supercore (which can be a lot more pricey) But if you prefer the 210, it's definitely worth it to save up and wait rather than settle for a robot you're not as fond of. If you're not already a member, robotchat on discord has lots of aibos for sale in their classified section, sometimes pinned 210s are there as well. Good luck on your search!
