***** in terms of game mechanics yes emerakaul wins, but unless hes cheated out the guy playing elesh norn will have already won. In the story its more up in the air however, elesh norn pretty much crushed mirrodin single handedly and is now crushing the non white phyrexian factions of phyrexia. Sheoldrod's armies are gone with the deceiver herself in hiding. Even my furnaces are now being taken one by one by her army. Emerkaul is only a football stadium sized lovercraftian space monster, elesh norn is a world conquerer.

This is, by far, the best trailer they've ever done. The imagery, the script, the story, and the glorious music... Beautiful. And then, at the very end, they pull out their most ingenious marketing move yet: Heliod declares Elspeth a hero, and on-screen? You see "Hero" turn into "Theros". The moment that clicked in my head, I just lost my mind at how ingenious it was. And to this day, I still do. Well played, Wizards. Well played indeed.

I can't get enough of this trailer. Some notes. 1. Gift of immortality has one of the greatest art concepts ever seen in the game. 2. The music on the part where Elspeth is introduced is so epic. 3. The art overall is amazing. 4. They should use this narator in all future trailers.

***** With Athreos, you get the gods back unless you opponent pays 3 life, just saying. :P And with enough mana, from nykthos, you can use heliod to spam out clerics to sacrifice to the eldrazi. So I actually think that if they had infinite mana, the gods would win easily.

she was, her last printing (not including MM) was Scars of Mirroden. Which makes me think that the dude at the end is Tezzeret. He was printed in Mirroden Besieged, so them fighting again makes a lot of sense.

One of the most interesting lore hints in this trailer is Heliod's feud with Purphoros, the Forge God. When Purphoros comes on screen, what Heliod says is "create catastrophies". This may allude to how he has manipulated the world into considering Purphoros as a villain while attempting to show himself as a supreme, benevolent saviour. Kinda shows the hints of his villainous side.

Also the ending of the Innistrad block was told in Wizards official site, Liliana broke the helvault with an army of undead, after releasing both Griselbrand and Avacyn she chased Gris and killed him then left, as for Garruk his curse was lifted by Avacyn when he was taken to her by Odric for an audience since people taught he was a monster

Alright let me answer this in order: Innistrad didn't get its own novel because WotC was trying out a new comic system which didn't work, so they dropped that and went back to novels. Return to Rav did get its own 3 part novel called the Secretist. You do learn the winner of the maze, but i won't say it here because spoilers. The point is they did write it and you can buy it on amazon. They'll be continuing the novels for Theros, so why elspeth is there, we'll find out.

Ral Zarek killed Melek than ran the Maze himself and almost killed Jace, but was stopped when all maze-runners met at Maze's End. Lazav made all Maze-Runners fight each other, which triggered the "charging" of the Supreme Verdict to wipe out the 10th Precinct. Jace stopped this in the last moment with his psychic abilities and he himself became the new magical Guildpact. It was all a ruse by Niv-Mizzet, possibly to forge the new Guildpact or to draw out the Supreme Verdict.
