Olympia Brown does science at home with her daughter investigating density. They discover that an orange sinks when it is peeled and try objects from around the home to see if they float or sink. In this fun children's activity, prediction, and asking questions, help to explore the science.
ExpeRimental, brought to you by the Royal Institution of Great Britain, is a series of free short films that make it fun, easy and cheap to do science at home with children aged 4 to 10. Our films give you lots of ideas for kids' activities that will help you explore the world around you, question and experiment together. We'll show you how to do the activity and how to make sure adults and children get the most out of it. Why not have a go and then tell us what you think on our Facebook page? / ri.experimental

red, curly hair and british accent? Is it even possible to be more adorable? :-D

I think "Maybe one of these three things" answered your question. From what I've seen from fellow students, that's already enough for most multiple-choice exams.

I'm rather partial to it as well. My young daughter has beautiful curly red hair so I may be biased.

Nice one - that looks a great way to get kids thinking about science. Maybe for the next step you could introduce the idea of heat changing density by warming the bottom of the glass in a safe way. Maybe use a powerful torch or bulb to warm it up, or how about one of those microwaveable heat packs/hot water bottles?
