I hated the thought of solo Elite Dungeons and Zuk a while back too. Normal-mode Zuk is still good money, and a really good place to learn IMO.

While frustrating and a steep learning curve, ed3 can genuinely be done in pretty crappy gear, t90 weapon is fine, even a superior zuriels staff (t88 augmentable, lasts "forever", cheap) with tank armour is totally fine.

there is a new quest which unlocks new spells which use water runes i think it's "temple of senntisten" (not city). edit: it is city, mb

They're about 100 or so gp each but the new incite fear spell uses 10 water runes. And the Fractured staff of armadyl spec uses runes everytime you crit. Depending on the boss it's not hard to burn through a full rune pouch in an hour or less.
