The PXS v1 has been my favorite all-round road running shoe ever since it first came out late last year, so my expectations were very high after the hype generated when the v2 prototype was shown at TRE in December. Then there was a letdown about the weight and a lot of negative reviews after the "leak launch" in early-August, but I still had to try it. At first, it did feel heavy, firm, and clunky but, after a few long runs, it really started to grow on me and I absolutely love it now for long cruises at moderate paces. It had a set-and-forget kind of feel and ride to it and is deceptively fast for its weight. It really doesn't feel as heavy once you put them on your feet and start running. Although the v1 still remains my overall favorite, stability can be an issue at times and v2 is definitely much more stable. It's not as crazy bouncy as v1 but still very springy and directed more forward than upward. It's not a race shoe but still a fast shoe. Due to the weight, it's not easy to suddenly pick up the pace, but once you gradually increase the pace and then set it at a pace you want to maintain, it just bounces and rolls you forward with less perceived effort. I'd often feel like I'm running at a moderate 8:00/mile (5:00/km) or something like that and then look at my watch and see that it's more like in the 7:30~7:45/mile range pace. I find that I can go faster with less perceived effort (lower HR). I think Nick describes it well as this being like a "luxury" running shoe. It's not something one *needs* for training per se and it's not a race shoe, but the ride is so enjoyable. It really does feel like riding on a Mercedes or a Tesla Model S or something like that compared to a good Toyota, Honda or Kia, etc. I know it isn't for everyone and it's expensive, but I love it. I've logged close to 200 miles on two pairs already and I get excited every time I lace it on for a long run and that makes it worth every penny for me.

I have both PX1 and PX2. I'm 6 ft 92-3kg and can tell you that PX1 was a lot more unstable once your legs are tired and you are not focusing on foot placement. I also got horrible blisters on inside arch and think its to do with the soles not being wide enough for me - similar experience for my takumi sen 8s but given that is only a 5k sprinter, i can handle short pain. For the prime x strung 2, the mentioned issues all go away, wider base was more stable but like people have said, the sock style implementation meant later in the run, heel becomes loose and not fully locked in. Bit of give and take but i got no blisters after a 19km run so 👌

Can this shoe be used at work or even loitering in the street, or is it only for racing?

It was a little clunky when I ran in it a few times, but once I got the hang of it, it has been an instant favorite.

Im confused about the sizing. 3 guys say it fits tts whereas the fourth definitely says to get half a size bigger 🙄🤔 also you guys should tell the viewers what kind of footshape n foot (low/high arch, volume etc) you have...

@@geert574 thank you for clarification! 🙏❤️ I hate it when the shoes are too tight/small.

@@alexanders4911 mmm, technically adiddas is bigger than others brands, at the same size Adidas is 0.5 bigger. example, NIKE 9US is 8UK, but Adidas 9US is 8.5UK...i learn this in the bad way...i had to returned like 3 pairs (Adios pro 2, Pro3, and Strung x1 this particulary, is giant) because im 9us/8uk always...except in Adidas, in those im 8.5us/8uk. I have Takumi sen, Pro 2, Pro 3, Prime X, Strung x1, x2 all of them 8.5US and fit well.

How are these for runners with flat feet? Thanks!

I'm flat footed and half sized up on this and it worked great for me. Just did a lacing technique since my midfoot has high volume.

Wow, almost 300 grams in size 8 is just crazy, that is heavier than some trail running shoes. Man, where is shoe designing heading to, with that crazy stack height and now with those two layers of carbon plates? I will never buy this shoe, especially at this price point, which is just crazy.
