On Cloudmonster Hyper Review: Three runners give their verdict on the expensive daily trainer

I wanted the Superblast but the toebox is narrow and does no good for my left pinky toe. This one was forgiving for my toes, which is why I chose it fully aware about the price premium above everything else and on the flip side, it’s versatile for a stylish walking and lifestyle shoe. So…kind of my justification set there, but mainly the toebox.

My sentiments as well. Runners who review these things tend to have a more ideal foot haha. I'd rather a shoe that makes room for my wider feet, and gives my toes room to wiggle, even if it means sacrificing some other areas.

Other than the ASICS Superblast, I can’t think of a non plated shoe that’s worth $200. Sorry ON, not getting my money this time. I appreciate you taking the price into consideration when reviewing.

The only way I would buy the cloud monster hyper is either a really dope colorway or $200. Otherwise shoes like the endorphin speed, new balance rebel, or Hoka Mach will do the same job for much better deal. Me personally $160 is the max I'll pay for a daily trainer, the only exception is race day shoes.

Prices of running shoes are getting out of control. It´s a journey on how to make a shoe and then sell it for a higher price than anyone else

Of course, alternatives are the key. So many good shoes in this category that are about US$50 cheaper. I've got over 600 miles in the Deviate Nitro 2 and it's still great.
