14:25 I don't think we have airborne flamethrowers in the traditional sense, its not like how it is in this game where you are spewing fire on enemies directly below you. We use (or have used, some of this got outlawed) Napalm and White Phosphorus based weapons quite a bit though. Napalm was the first invention, used extensively through the Vietnam war, warheads that held a sticky chemical compound would be dropped and on detonation the sticky substance would be engulfed in flame. It was like dropping gallons of burning glue on enemy forces in the middle of a forest, you cant get it off of flesh by trying to roll, even water struggles with it. White phosphorous was even worse, using the Phosphorous compound in the bombs, it would create incredibly toxic and debilitating gas that came in the form of thick white smoke, that gas however, was also on fucking fire. White Phos was the second most brutal thing the US ever used next to the Nuclear bombing in Japan, it killed anything and everything, it was a chemical weapon, a bomb, and a napalm weapon all rolled into one. I believe both are no longer in use for Geneva Convention reasons, also they just aren't as efficient, we advanced past it. Incendiary weaponry is still very common though, it combines the fun of an explosive bullet with a chemical compound in the bullet that causes it to burn after hitting its target. Those are still very common in military aircraft. Strapping a traditional flamethrower (using a close range spread of gas from a hose that erupts into flames) onto an aircraft is by all means possible, but absolutely useless. The lack of range and firepower make it an idea that has never even been considered, aircrafts strike ground targets from miles away normally, not 800 feet above the target unless they are providing close air support. Even then I don't think any flamethrower invented has the range to be used air to ground without being incredibly close to the ground (and at that point you are already getting shot down, especially if you are a helicopter, jets can get away with close sweeps because they move so fast) When we have cannons that fire a hundred rounds a second and each one is on fire, and stuff like White Phosphorous, there is zero use for a flamethrower helicopter in any regard. (Not even mentioning that flamethrowers and incendiary weapons as a whole carry massive risk of collateral on civilians and friendly troops, destroy the environment even worse than your average bullet or bomb, and they are currently very illegal outside of the types of HEIAP (High Explosive Incendiary Armor Piercing) round that we use, which are very very closely monitored to minimize damage to civilian life.)

Bit late to the party here...and this may be a dumb argument fed by intoxication... Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut.... Wasn't that just a quick joke about basic physics? And the game breaking simple physics here? Like -'This doesn't make any sense. An increase in energy (heat) translates to an increase in particle movement in its medium, which in turn creates a decreases in density relative to the surrounding air, causing the heat source to be less effected by earth's gravitational pull...'- 'Doesn't warm air rise?'

19:29 good rule of thumb with graphics cards is that the higher the number the better it is, 4090 is the highest quality and most expensive out right now, 3060 is a good middle ground, thats what I play on, the first two numbers are age essentially, the 30s and 40s are much newer designs, the 20 is a bit older, however because its an 80, its second best in its generation. You are somewhere around middle of the pack, if a little less than average with a 2080, although I have heard conflicting statements, some folks say the 2080 is better than the 3060. If you play on mid to low graphics you should be just fine, but for comparison, Badger uses a 4090, he consistently has the best gear in gaming since that essentially his career, and even he dropped frames.

12:30 Some gadgets recharge over time. Most airstrikes and beacons, and all vehicles require your team (including yourself) to kill enemies. So if you aren't killing the bugs, you ain't getting another air strike.

Badger is awesome, whenever you see something that looks weird, him talking or an animation (pretty much anything that isn't gameplay), is all done in SFM (Source Filmmaker). I hope you watch more of his stuff, pretty much all of his videos are god tier, even his older one that doesn't use the mo-cap suit (which yes he does own)

I find it hilarious that THIS is your first Russian Badger video, because it’s on EDF 4.1 and your response was “I need to get this game!” Basically, that exact same thing happened to me a few years ago with a video in EDF 5 by the youtuber “Cornholepatrol”, which was my first video for HIS channel. And I did not regret my purchase, lol. On that note, the rest of Badger’s videos are pretty damn funny, and I recommend CornholePatrol’s EDF5 video as well. It’s the sequel to 4.1 (obviously) and besides some design changes and about +20 more missions, it’s the same chaotic Ragdoll fun times. Seriously, these games have me convinced that any game can be made much more fun if funky-ass ragdoll physics get thrown in for enemies or players, lol.

I haven't seen any comments actually talk about it, but the reason we don't have airborne flamethrowers is, 1. Traditionally that aren't used unless there's no other viable option, and 2. The prop-wash from the helicopter, that is the high-pressure air being forced down to provide lift, would make the flames spew everywhere, if they aren't extinguished by the wake, making it unsafe and unreliable.

Hey, do you react to horror content? I have some videos I wanna see your reaction to (since you actually look into the topics a bit and break it down, or crack some funny joke, and don't talk over the entire video) but they're a bit of a... longer type of video. One that I wanna see is you reacting to The Game Theorists four part newest version of the FNaF timeline of events. It doesn't include the new Ruin, Help Wanted 2, and any books released since then, but it's pretty up to date. Another is TheOoftrop's Undeniably Canon version of the FNaF timeline, which is basically if a comedy writer retold the FNaF story. It had like 2 or 3 parts out now, and it's still being made. Also, I think reacting to some of the Jschlat videos where he views viewer presentations would be funny. And if they mention a "1999 Incident" in them, just know it involved a horse and Enumclaw, Washington. Sorry for the longass comment btw

The game is Earth Defense Force 4.1 and I highly recommend playing it as well as EDF 5. 4.1 is a challenging game in getting armor alone. 5 is more forgiving in that sense, as in depending on the difficulty can vary in the amount of armor and weapons lost. And the Armor at the end gets divided between the classes. But more goes to the class ya used to complete the mission. 5 has more enemy types and variety overall and features advanced movement tactics compared to 4.1. However the in game message system is dumb because if you were to type (I need to change my class) it will censor ass. Its still a fun game to play even with randoms

you can definitely play this on a 2080. The weapon they showed there is an end game weapon. Sadly if you have a party of 4 and everyone uses that weapon at the same time. The game itself will most likely crash for everyone, no matter what your specs are.

I wonder what dave will do if he finds out there is a EDF 5, ssethtzeentach has done a video about it, and there is EDF 6 out in japan and it will be out in English in spring. as for something interesting interesting about edf 6, the edf dev's had edf: iron rain made in unreal 4 to check if they should make 6 in unreal or upgrade the engine they used for 5 the results were that unreal could not handle the needed map size, enemy count, and particle effects that are in a mainline edf game

it says 4.1 but Russiabadger uses some clips from 5, like that level with the giant hive in it, but edf games almost all play the same, only exception is iron rain where to get the good weapons you have to find drones in the level and even then a weapon isn't guaranteed, there's also no air raider, but 4.1 and 5(and most likely 6 which is a direct sequel to 5) are all really close, the interesting thing is, 4.1 and 5 are actually not connected story wise, none of them are except 5 and 6

You can play this game easily with your set up. I play on a laptop. I recommend EDF 5 as some of the annoyances found in 4.1 are fixed in 5. Also play with friends its much funner with friends.
