Camping world once kicked us out of the store as well. I remember the manager saying “sue me” as he laughed when kicking us out. Guess what? We sued them, and we WON. He’s homeless now. we laugh. Sue them Sue them Sue them.

My nephew asked me to go with him when he picked up his first new car. We're sitting in the aftersales office and the man starts offering pricey warranties. So I put on my best poker face, turned to my nephew and said "Well, if the factory has no faith in their vehicle, and you really need to BUY an extra warrantee for it, maybe you should buy such an unreliable car?" It was fun to watch the sales guy backpedal his way out of that one. 😅

Problem number one was buying anything from Camping World, avoid that place like the plague! 104k for a unit you can't use riddled with problems is totally unacceptable. Small claims court is a good idea for some of it. Good luck Sir.

Don’t buy a new camper either, especially from camping world. $8,000 for a warranty and they don’t cover anything. Camping world and good Sam are a complete joke. I bought their roadside assistance for an rv I already owned from another dealer. I got it because they are the only ones that will tow you from out of state, etc. The comedy began when I pulled my camper out of my building to poor the floor. The field was soft and I got stuck. Called good Sam, they tried to send someone from almost 3 hours away, when we have 50 tow companies 7-15 miles from me, lol. The guy called me and said he couldn’t in good conscience come that far, knowing I could get local help. I let the field dry and pull it out myself, lol. When it was time to renew Good Sam, I said NO THANK YOU. They suck!

In my opinion, Camping World has been doing this for years. If the RV price is 50k, the financing and dealer fees add another 50k. What is difficult for me to understand with the thousands of predatory stories on the net about Camping World, why people still buy from CW?!?!?! Independent Inspections bf signing the contract is a must!! If the dealer dosen't allow it, RUN!!

This is getting old and stale. What's missing is the rep from Camping World who should be invited on to tell their side of the story. And if this video has that segment, then forgive me. If not, then more balance is needed. Too easy to find RV owners who are mad at their dealer but remember there are at least 2 sides to every story.

This sounds right. New or used the dealer just throws it on the lot doesn’t check or inspect the product they bought and pass the issues on to the customer then scare the customer into a warranty package to cover what wasn’t done right or checked by the manufacturer or dealer. Win win win for them Dealer assumed the manufacturer did it right the customer assumes the dealer and manufacturer did it right. Bottom line the poor quality is being passed through to the customer and then they have them drop 8-10 grand that the dealer and manufacturer don’t have to pay in the build or sale process , no regulation so there like let’s just crank them out and let the customer deal with it and the dealer is like not my problem we are just going to put lipstick on a pig and push all the PDI crap and big buildings for just doing that. meanwhile it’s all a big scam. The dealer and manufacturers are in bed together just like the medical field and insurance companies. , and to add insult to injury these extended warranty plans don’t do half what they say they do. STOP blaming the consumer for not knowing everything all the time. Put blame where it belongs people

FYI, getting a judgement in small claims court is easy. But COLLECTING that judgement is a whole other thing. You may need to pay a collections agency, or pay the local sheriff, to actually enforce that judgement and COLLECT what is owed to you. That's the hard part.

Small claims court is a fantastic suggestion. With his records he will be well received. It’s very important to be organized, polite, calm and rational in front of the Judge. If you get judgement and CW won’t pay you will go back to the Judge and the court will help you collect.

I strongly suggest finding an Inspector to do an inspection first. We do inspections on houses, why wouldn't we on a 65k unit? It would have cost around 1300-1500 for one. A certified inspector will look over the whole unit and give you a report. This helps to make a more informed decision. Don't go in blind

I don’t understand why people don’t read a contract before they sign it ? Why do they trust sales people? Honestly, I don’t have that much sympathy . Like PT Barnum said , There is a sucker born every minute. 😬
@professionalinspectionserv94683 күн бұрын
I am sorry, if the sell price is 65k and you end up paying 104k... that is a BIG RED FLAG!! Why would continue with the sale? Knowing it is used you should already have known it is as is. I feel for anyone taken by any dealer especially cw. But you have to wake up and not let your emotions take over, it is only an RV! Just my thoughts. I do belive bad dealers should be held accountable by consumer affairs.

Wingman, you are corrected you want to creative a paper trail, if it go to court,you show the judge with the paperwork and write it down ,keep a repair book. All this can be present to the judge the paper work.keep a log on everything you find wrong with your unit.

Keep in mind that small claims have a $10,000 max, may vary from county or state, but check it before. Everything in writing is the base, even if they do it verbally. After the meeting, send them an email with a statement of you, and they said. If they don't react or respond, they implicitly agree 😉 That's a first step for small claim

I have come to the conclusion that "extended warranties " rv or vehicle are a sham. Take the money you would pay for the warranty and place it into a maintenance account. If you need it great if not, it is your money. I had soo much pressure on me to buy an extended warranty for an rv , they told me everything. I finally told them no, not financed. But would look over the coverage and pay for one later, cash if I thought it was of value. Thank god!

I think manufacturers, if you are building good units you should provide a warranty (more then a cheesy 12 mo.) to protect the buyer and show you stand by your product. This should not increase the price of your over priced units that sometimes cost more then a home. Seems like a good buisness model to me. Maybe you will do more quality control in your manufacturering process. 😊 Go Army!!

He was in a very high power position before signing, but he is clueless. He gave up 100% of his power the day hesigned on the junk RV. His ignorance is overwhelming, and you can’t help him or those similar. They dont listen and will not take the time to protect themselves. Camping World has made billions on the sucker class. I am not empathtic whthe foolool gets fooled. This happens endlessly in most auto, RV, real estate, and large ticket item industries. With love❤
