A single Divine Pulse can return to the start of a battle, but no further than that. So probably half a day or 12 hours is a fair guesstimate for its temporal range. Jeralt dies at the end of chapter 9. The time skip happens at the end of chapter 12, so 3 months later. After the 5 year gap, the group comes back together on the anniversary of the Gerrag Mach Founding Festival, reuniting again during the Ethereal Moon, or 57 months later. Then there are 9 months of chapters following the reunification on most routes. The exact answer cannot be figured from the given data, but it would have taken no less than 3,960 Divine Pulses to achieve this feat.

They really shouldn't have killed Jeralt off. I feel like he'd have been a great unit to give us in the post timeskip. Like depending on which class you taught for and which side you joined; he'd return to his more aggressive self that was hinted at (hinted at by his datamined critical lines, that is) and then he'd be the one to find you at the riverside instead of some random NPC.

@Bailey Law I think keeping Hunting by Daybreak as the first chapter would be better, but I can definitely see that being one early on. Regardless, there would definitely be a Paralogue called "Untold History", where Jeralt comes clean about his past, his possession of the Crest of Seiros, as well as why he doesn't trust Rhea.

I feel like killing him off when they did was pointless. Like he would've been a great unit to have continue the story. Even if he didn't have a major role outside of getting reunited. In a game where most the the characters already have tragic back stories the main character already had enough happen without losing Jeralt.

I never really knew my dad all that much, but I have some small memories of him and I remember emotions instead of scenarios.. I learned to grow up without showing pain or tears to make other people more happy- so I can relate to Byleth a lot on that notion. When my dad passed, I remember feeling the overwhelming pain because I expected him to be home and us to have fun. Both in the game and this comic made me miss him a lot more and actually start crying- but I guess it’s a good thing since it’s hard for me to actually cry :’) Thanks for putting so much emotion and little ad libs to make it more realistic. I ended up just blabbering my emotions again- but you all did a wonderful job! ✨💝💝

Here I am, a 35 year old man, veteran of Fire Emblem since the gameboy advance era, and I just now see this the day after the funeral of my uncle, the man who raised me and would let me talk videogames and F.E. To him non stop even if he didn’t know anything about what I was talking about yet would listen intently and give his thoughts on tactics and the story, so now I am sitting on my couch with tears running down my face. Everyone here did a beautiful job from the drawings to the voicework, thank you for this piece of art.

I like to think jeralt went back to the monastery early on the night of the Ball in order to dance with byleth and tell her his story because he had just danced with future byleth a few days ago. He had to make sure she gets the idea in her head to go back in time to dance with him on her wedding day. Meaning he got the idea to do it from future byleth who got the idea from him who got the idea from future byleth. Time travel is fun like that.

...wow... I don't truly know how to comment on this, but needless to say, I am a big crying wreck now. Jeralt was one of my fav chars, and when he passed in the game, I cried and didnt touch it again for a few days. This video along with the voice acting makes me really wish that we got more of Jeralt before his death. Fantastic.
