@ralphyoung That was me that called in about the vegan stuff. And I’ll tell you what -Ralph I take my veganism very seriously. No leather. No Glues- I wear vegan shoes only. I know that non-vegans love to try to point out hypocrisy in vegans. Some get a real thrill out of it. What I’m suggesting is that everybody do the best they can. And if vegan ice cream tastes pretty much the same as dairy ice cream -why wouldn’t you just switch? The other thing I forgot to mention in my little tirade there was that the thing that’s crazy about dairy is after five years of being dairy cows-they slaughter that cow anyway. So dairy cows are hamburgers. They just tortured him for five years before they turn them into hamburgers. And they artificially inseminate them a couple times a year. Which is essentially rape. I know that sounds extreme but those cows do not want a human to stick their arms up their vaginas and artificial inseminate them. They just don’t- go on KZbin and watch a couple insemination videos and you tell me if that cow looks like they want that. And the same goes for chickens. You’ve all seen that 90% of eggs come from chickens that are stuffed in little cages. But after a few years of laying eggs they just kill those chickens for meat. So if you’re eating eggs you may as well just eat chicken because the same farm that makes eggs also produces chicken meat- The chickens are just tortured for a few years laying eggs and shitting all over each other- and even if you buy cage free or free range eggs it doesn’t matter. After some years they’re going to slaughter those free range chickens for meat-They’re not gonna let those chickens die of old age.

I am enjoying your podcast so much...makes me laugh out loud....this is something different for me as I don't usually use profanity when I talk ( sometimes, especially when I'm mad) but I totally appreciate the way you share your stories, how you express the frustration I am feeling about this whole election drama and current president. Thank you for having this platform. When you come across a good substitute for cheese, and ice cream please share.

Sarah. Check this out: "The study published in the journal Science, created a huge dataset based on almost 40,000 farms in 119 countries and covering 40 food products that represent 90% of all that is eaten. It assessed the full impact of these foods, from farm to fork, on land use, climate change emissions, freshwater use and water pollution (eutrophication) and air pollution (acidification). “A vegan diet is probably the single biggest way to reduce your impact on planet Earth, not just greenhouse gases, but global acidification, eutrophication, land use and water use,” said Joseph Poore, at the University of Oxford, UK, who led the research. “It is far bigger than cutting down on your flights or buying an electric car,” he said, as these only cut greenhouse gas emissions. The new research shows that without meat and dairy consumption, global farmland use could be reduced by more than 75% - an area equivalent to the US, China, European Union and Australia combined - and still feed the world. Loss of wild areas to agriculture is the leading cause of the current mass extinction of wildlife"

If you enjoy milk and eggs, there are still more ethical options in the table than factory farming conditions. Look for local sources where you can verify the conditions the animals are kept in. :) If you decide to go vegan, that's obviously fine too, just know there's a sort of middle ground you can find depending on what exactly you're trying to support/avoid in your consumption.

He still says millions went from MA to NH to vote in 2016. Wyoming has 500k people yet they have 2 Senators so does CA. A state of millions, I think about 7 million. That’s fair. Lol. Representatives of 17% of the country have the majority in the Senate it’s hilarious. Then of course they capped the number of Congress people, so even what is calculated by population is fixed. Now add the electoral college. All the gerrymandering and the stolen 2000 election, is why we should have 9 liberal Justices but we only have 2-3. The whole system is rigged against the left, yet I keep hearing about our centrist or conservative country?? Every Bernie policy is popular if not attached to a political party/candidate. They ALL have over 50% support. It’s all rigged. Trump is right, just not how he claims, it’s rigged against anything left of Pelosi (she’s more conservative than Nixon! She just pretends to not be racist). Thank you for letting me vent

opening monologue: i'm sorry for how things went, but at least you'd emotionally prepared yourself ahead of time and documented it so when reality tried to make you gaslight yourself you had hard evidence to refer to that this is, unfortunately, true, and happened, and people like you were shouting it into the void, and here we are, but hey, you tried, and are trying, and that does mean something and that's what this comment is here to say. PS: you ARE amusing, and refreshingly honest, i assume that of course part of your public persona is a developed character and even in the "tell all authenticity" my concept of "sarah silverman" is still a parasocial construct i developed as a voyeur looking in on an edited-for-broadcast selection of jokes cracked and then curated into a public image but i also know enough folks who have public personas in private so like. like. LIKE. anyways, all that to say that to me the way you go about shit seems safe and like people don't have to worry about offending their way out of your life and that's amazing so keep it up i love it and wish i knew more people like that 48:00 this is the sentiment that lead to my one tattoo: a beautiful colorful blue and orange southwest lookin' spider that people constantly mistake as being a crab because when you remove the normal tropes we uses as markers people can't tell a spider and a crab apart cuz they're both arthropods and I believe if a person can learn to overcome socially programmed fear of spiders, leave "burn it with fire" behind, and learn to love and appreciate a spider (or pit bull, or rat, or roach, etc) they have exercised every mental muscle needed for tikkun olam which is a value I had before I learned that it's summed up in this Judaic concept but that term is wayyyy faster than trying to define it, and has literally been used on this podcast so I can just refer to it instead of explain it. Yay! ;) 🖖😀🖖 PS you specificaly definitely said "Noice!" when you got MLA style scripture citation quoting Jesus on ILY America i rererdrewatched that clip because this Ex-Missionary was resonating with those firey truths My best friend in first grade was named Radcliff but went by Rad so "rad" stayed a part of my vocab too and imo it IS a great story just like this comment and PS one of my dearest friends is named JoANNa Pomeroy and I send her every single episode or clip or anything i come upon where Anne Pomeroy makes an appearance because JoANNa Pomeroy has a fancy person voice that is very similar to Anne Pomeroy I wonder if they're sisters or cousins or something kbye
