Lots of fans go to concerts by themselves! It is really easy to make friends at kpop concerts. I'm introverted and don't normally reach out to people first but it's actually easy to strike conversations with the people around you at kpop concerts, especially Ateez ones! I've seen Ateez in concert 3 times. They have been some of the greatest days of my life. The last time I saw them was on Hongjoongs birthday last year and we got to celebrate with them. They had a cake for him and shoved his face in it bc Atiny told wooyoung to push Hongjoong in. It was amazing. I can't wait to see them again

Today's actually ATEEZ's 5th Anniversary, so good timing :). Lol 2 moments that left you shook were from Immortal Songs performances (which is why i keep suggesting you check those out, cuz they're epic!!). To answer a few of your questions below: 13:04 (and 14:04) were their song Fireworks. 25:25 is from their Immortal Songs performance 'Anyhow Songs'. This is epic, and it's actually my least favourite of their 6 immortal songs performances - so just shows you how awesome they ALL are!! 39:20 is their song 'Rocky'. The MV is 'Rocky (Boxers Version'), which is a Japanese release. 52:40 Wooyoung said while he couldve got more views doing a sexy dance cover, he wanted to dance to a song that provided meaning and light for ATINY's going through tough times. 55:50 the quote from Wooyoung is from the clip where he bit San lol. 1:04:25 is another Immortal Songs performance, 'Black Cat Nero'. You reacted to the MV they made for this AFTER their win on immortal songs! Just to drop all their immortal songs performances below, cuz truly trust me they are SO worth watching!!!! :) Here are their 6 performances, ranked in order of what I think their best performances are: 1. 'Black Cat Nero' [they won this week, it was their first performance AND first win]. 2. Performance from June 17 2023 - wikipedia says it's called "Jilpoonggado', but KZbin title is fully Korean, so i'm not 100% of the song title. [they also won this week, and is EPIC vocally.] 3. 'Right Now' [also won this week]. Original song is by Psy, who you may know from his song 'Gangnam Style' years ago that went viral lol. 4. 'Fantastic Baby & Nillili Mambo' - they also added their song 'The Real' into this mashup. 5. 'It's Raining' - [they also won this week] 6. 'Anyhow Song' [featured in the guide that left you shook with San's raspy vocals]. And a reminder of what Immortal Songs is: no lipsyncing allowed at all [different to most kpop shows where there is almost always a backing track supporting the vocals in case they falter while dancing so much]. Contestants perform re-invented covers of iconic kpop songs, typically in front of the original artist themselves, and compete to win that week. It's mostly true vocalists that perform - NOT idol groups - and winning is considered super super hard cuz of the standards. ATEEZ have won 4 times now - the most out of any idol group EVER (not just 4th gen). It's super impressive considering there have been over 600 episodes of this show, and only 6 idol groups have EVER won in all that time, most with just one win. ATEEZ really stands out :)

I hope you can see them in concert some time soon. I've been to many kpop concerts, dating all the way back to 2011 and I can tell you that Ateez is at the top. The performances are insane, obviously their songs and vocals are great, and Atiny brings mad energy too. I successfully converted a non-kpop friend to Ateez, it takes that one song at the right time. I'm sure you can find someone who wants to board the pirate ship with you! Fighting!

The song you asked "where's this from" about during San's segment is a cover of Anyhow Song by Seo Taji and Boys, from one of their appearances on Immortal Songs. Seo Taiji and Boys was the very first Kpop group and is really fascinating in terms of genre and inspiration. They're very 90's grunge rock.

I promise you going to an ateez concert alone, you’re never actually alone. Friend groups adopt you and everyone is so open to talking amongst themselves. I was sleepy once cause I was jet lagged from traveling back home and I was falling asleep outside. A guy and two girls huddled around me and told me to sleep they’ll take care of me since I had another 4 hours (I came early cause I literally just got off the plane). I slept for 20 mins woke up and they had snacks and water for me. Best group of people I ever met. To this day we are friends on twitter now and they are now my concert buddies. Plus they saved me some freebies that were being passed around by other atiny while I was asleep

I love watching you become an Atiny over time and love and appreciate our boys! Also I'm even more excited to see you experience your first Ateez comeback on December 1st as an Atiny with us all. Also, I definitely recommend going to an Ateez concert! I've seen them twice now and their shows are out of this world fun to watch. Even if you don't have anyone to go with Atiny's ( all kpop fans) at the concerts are always down to be friend you in line or at the show! 12:48 actually yeosang said that he didn’t want a lot of lines in the beginning since he was shy so the members took over him but still add him. Now he’s getting more lines since he’s confidence growth, but some atiny got used to it that now other members are getting less lines and giving yeosang the lines that he is supposed to get. That they got mad about it, in this last comeback they were mad because jongho and wooyoung got less lines and well u may imagine what happen. But yeah Ateez is getting better and better over the years⭐️✨

I have been an atiny since 2021 and since bouncy I have realised that no matter what steps atz take to please atiny they can't please everyone of us there was so much anger towards hongjoong for being centre even though he gave up his rap for seonghwa and like you said yeosang got it cause he took jongho lines even though jongho said on idol radio he wanted to take a step back and enjoy the performance this time and he really did fans will always find something to hate and complain but your find it be mostly solo stans not atiny and in my eyes solo stans are not atiny because they hate on other members

@@mazcolyer1972 i totally agree with you. I believe Ateez deserves better to be honest. I’m an atiny since debut and i have seen their growth. Every member gave their all and they deserve better, jongho has been criticize for only signing but they don’t see that he actually has the same potential than the other members. the same to san, they criticize him for outstanding the other members and it’s just san being san honestly, that’s how great dancers grow. But honestly every member gets hate for everything and anything.

this was misinformation :( pls don't say this... someone took the things he said the wrong way and suddenly the whole yeosang doesn't want lines snowball started rolling... he's been talking about how he wants to work harder and be a more prominent member in terms of parts and lines, which we are lucky he has been getting... ofc yeosang hasn't had the opportunity to do much more, but I think that's where KQ needs to improve on (ofc not just for yeosang, but for all of ateez)

They JUST announced the comeback will be on 12/1. They’ve been dropping hints along the way and so fans are on scavenger hunts right now with finding clues to what is happening next in the storyline. Some Loretinys have been putting together TTs of the clues and trying to decipher what is happening. So much fun!

I have so, so much to say but I won’t sit here and write you a book …as I normally would. I’m just going to say this.. Going to a concert alone is one of the best experiences. You don’t have to worry about the other person having a good time or losing them in the crowd. You don’t have to worry about them losing their spot (if you’re in a standing room only situation) if they need to go to the bathroom or something. And you don’t have to worry about them judging you if you get a little too crazy with the music going. What have is you and the complete strangers around you who are there to enjoy the same experience as you. To rock out at an awesome concert and go nuts. The strangers around end up becoming friends as the night goes on. There’s nothing like it, really. HOWEVER! If you’re anywhere near Texas, I’ll happily join you at a concert and make sure you have the best time ever! 😊

clarifying the yeosang part: many people claim that yeosang did NOT want lines unfortunately, this isn't true and it kind of sucks that misinformation like this came about... yeosang has talked about his insecurities and his struggles as a trainee, which turned into the false narrative that he is insecure of his voice and does not want lines because of that. yeosang has worked extremely hard to become an idol, he went to a renowned STEM high school while maintaining an trainee career, while dieting, while maintaining good grades, while training 24/7, he only slept in classes and constantly practiced because of his sheer will and determination... which is admirable to say the least! yeosang has talked about how much MORE he wants, and how he feels the need to prove this through his skills. yeosang himself has talked about how he needs to work extremely hard all the time because his efforts tend to go unrecognized (it's a little shocking how he went from a well known & well rounded trainee at bighit, he literally had fans despite being a trainee, to losing out on parts in kq) OFC OFC OFC I'm not going to sit here and bash KQ... this is their first boy group and they had never debuted a group before. Heck they didn't know how to take care of and feed Hongjoong when he was a trainee! some atinys have attributed yeosang's lack of lines due to his unique rich deep voice. EDEN might not have necessarily known how to utilise him in songs (if you go into ateez's older discography, yeosang is often given higher tone wispy singy lines despite his really deep voice) now EDEN probably knows how to use yeosang with more versatility (as we have seen with DUNE, OUTLAW, even Cyberpunk, etc.) which is an amazing step. KQ's treatment of ateez is not really categorized as mistreatment, moreso, it is probably better categorized as mismanagement. KQ only recently got out of debt due to ateez and gained over 100 employees since they debuted ateez. it is quite obvious that they're still not the best at doing what they are doing, but we can see the improvement. the things that they need to fix is our job as fans to be loud about (not rude or disrespectfully, obviously) because KQ often listens to fans in both styling and management topics! anyways, to end this on a lighter note, please don't let this deter you from being an atiny. ateez's struggles are something they embrace and share with the fans, because they care about showing how human people are and how everyone's struggles are valid. ateez cares about their fans and career so so so much that they are constantly working because they purely enjoy being on stage. though many of the members have injured themselves throughout their career, atiny knows that we should always support them and help them recover each time. be sure to check our their covers for their birthdays! as they are really helpful in hearing the versatility of the group :) (so far we have yeosang, san, seonghwa, mingi (his was his original song, not a cover), and jongho! hongjoong, wooyoung, and yunho are on the way!) thank you for reading this THICK ASS ESSAY and I hope your knees arent too sore LOL

The saddest part is that he is so kind and innocent that he doesn't even properly speak up about this mismanagement which has been going on for years. The producers at kq have completely ruined his career because it is now so ingrained in people and fans' minds that he is shy or can't sing. It's like his image is made up a "visual" of the group who is there in the group just because of his looks and does not possess talent in any field.

9:40 there was literally an idol who specifically said on camera they didn't want lines in a song because they preferred focusing on dancing and some fans completely ignored his words and still complained about him having less lines, which is why I don't care about line distribution anymore unless the artist specifically mentions they want more lines. Also not to be that person but if you really think about it, group members have different voices, styles, and group positions. if you really think you can comfortably and fit 4-20+ different voices and styles EQUALLY in a 3-minute song you are out of your mind.

But that idol is not yeosang. He never said that he wanted less lines. In fact he there are many instances where he said that he wanted more lines or said that he would like to show us more of his vocal abilities. Hell, he even said that his favorite song from the albums are the ones where he has more lines than the rest of the songs on the albums. And I agree with you that it is hard to distribute a 3-4 minute song among 8 different voices but yeosang gets the least lines in like 90% of their songs. Especially in the early years of ateez's career, if you watch yeosang's fancams you would start feeling uncomfortable with how much he sings in a song. Like a 5-6 minutes ateez MAMA performance of 2020 and the center time yeosang got is 5 second. Is his not suitable for none of their songs? I could understand if he doesn't get lines in some of their songs but doesn't get proper lines in any of their songs.

@@TS-wr4sq i've been with ateez since their earlier years, i've saw yeosangs lines and yeosang himself said he was shy in the earlier days and wasn't quite comfortable yet, I do agree that now they should be giving him more lines especially since he has repeatedly said that he wants more lines, which is what i said in my comment. Thats not what i was talking about and I wasn't talking about yeosang at all, i was talking about fans who only "care" about line distribution and hyper fixate on it to the point where the member/members aren't appreciated. I've seen more people complain about an idols line distribution than i have seen the idol being praised or compliment on the few lines they get or their dancing/stage performance. Yes, i think you should fight for an idol's involvement in the group but only when the idol themselves say it otherwise you might be pressuring them to do something they don't want.

Like the name of the interview or live stream or even a link to wherever he mentioned this. Because I have seen a lot of atinys talk about it but never saw the actual source. I would be thankful. Also I agree with what you said to some extent but in yeosang's case, this has caused a great setback to his career. The image people have of him now, because oof this issue, is the "visual who doesn't have any talent and is there to just look pretty". No matter how good a fanbase is, not all the fans listen to individual members' covers. So, a lot of atinys don't even know how good of a singer he is. I also think that there is nothing wrong in criticizing a group on where they lack. I really think that line distribution is one of the areas where ateez is not good and I hope, in future, they are able to do justice to each members(especially yeosang since he has had the shorter end since debut) abilities in their songs not just title tracks.

@@TS-wr4sq alright I admit that I'm unsure of if yeosang himself said he wanted less lines or it that was atiny adding onto his words, and truthfully I believe he said it too because all I've seen comments about it as early as 2019 so him saying he wanted less lines but that may have not been the case, but he has mentioned he was shy in regards to vocals. I know for a fact predebut in code name is ateez he introduced his postion as a "little bit of a vocal" on like the very first episode, and he wrote a few years after debut how hongjoong encouraged him to do more vocally and helped him find a new vocal color. I agree that criticism for a group is necessarily but criticism isn't the only way you can encourage a company to do better. Also I don't think ateez does the line distribution, I'm pretty sure most of that is eden and other producers. I doubt the members would stand idly by and watch another member repeatedly ask for more lines and not do it if they could. And I still don't think fans should demand things idols have never mentioned (I'm not talking about yeosang or atiny)

@@MissYellowCat first of all, thank you so much for having a decent conversation with me about this topic. Most of the people don't wanna talk about it. Also, when I said that ateez is bad at line distribution, I didn't mean the members. What I meant is -there are various categories on which groups can be judged like discography, vocals, rap, choreography, etc. Some groups are good at some and bad at others. So in an objective way, if line distribution was considered throughout their discography, they are pretty bad at it for sure. There are definitely some members who are being overutilised and overworked while some are being underutilized. And I am saying this as a positive criticism where I hope that if fans point that out to them then the company can pursue to do better in this field. There are other groups with the same number of members or even more but their line distribution is better than ateez. While some might think that line distribution is not as important as vocals or rap or any other category. But line distribution kind of indicates if there is a wastage of talent as well how much the group is relied on a particular member. Also a lot of reliance on few members is not something that is healthy for a group so I consider it as important. This doesn't mean that other groups don't have line distribution problems. There might groups who are worse than ateez at this. It's just something where improvement is necessary as it also leads to the development and growth of each individual member. Now, that was my objective point of view on ateez as a group. But as a yeosang bias, I guess you can understand my views. I just feel so wronged, not that I think it's other members fault. I do think that yeosang is able to shine in their newer songs but I still believe that whatever parts yeosang is getting are not the best suited for his voice. I hope to see some more actual singing(which we know he can from his cover) from him in ateez's songs rather that just saying the lines in a deep voice. What you said about hongjoong helping yeosang to improve his vocal skill is just so heartwarming. I truly believe that the members absolutely love and adore yeosang. But I think a little change in the producers who would be able to bring out the best from every member would be helpful. And this opinion is just not because of yeosang. I have heard about other instances where I think the producers didn't fairly included the members. Sorry for the long rant. It's like I found an atiny friend who knows about ateez than I do because you have been with since pre debut and is also up for some real conversation.

Yeosang never said he wanted less lines, atinys made that up to defend edenary for never giving him anything in songs. He has stated over and over that he wants more lines and screen time, dating back to 2019. He was shy yes but he has always wanted more. The producers (Eden) are actually the ones at fault here for him not having lines, not because he said he didnt want more. With ATEEZ, I am a fairly new ATINY, just this year and I did not regret going to their concert here by myself because you will meet people who you share the same admiration for the members. LOL no, that ISN'T what Wooyoung was saying. This is pulled from a dialogue between San and Wooyoung in Ateez's Logbook #73 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3jafaqdr7d_hLs at 9:45-10:00). Wooyoung had just bit San on the shoulder, then asked San "why don't you like me?" San said "Think about what you did wrong to me today.", to which Wooyoung replied, "I didn't do anything wrong. Yeah, some idols don't want a lot of lines. And realistically, it's very hard to give each member equal lines in each song. It's more realistic to aim for a balance in an entire album, because every song is gonna be different, and ESPECIALLY with Ateez's discography, they do a very wide variety of styles, and some are better suited to some members than others. The key is balance. This last album, though, has majorly showcased Yeosang, and I'm madly in love with it as a result.

Sorry, but it is not balance when, especially in their earlier discography, he was given 3 secs of lines per song. He never asked for more lines, they just never wanted to use his voice. Even now though he gets more, its not a lot and definitely not balanced. Yeosang and also Wooyoung deserve more lines and its not hard for an 8 member bg to come up with an equal line distribution, edenary just happens to be lacking in the department of allowing each member to shine on tracks

But yeosang is not one of those idols. And I know that line distribution is difficult with so many different voices. Idols have more lines in some songs and less lines in others. But yeosang has least lines in almost all of ateez's discography. This is the problem. It's not like he can't sing or he doesn't want to sing. He has the skills and wants to show his talent but is just not given the opportunity to show us his talent. It is just so sad that atinys have just created a fake narrative in their head that yeosang is one of those idols that doesn't want lines because he is shy. If he was shy why would he go on live(where his voice can't be processed) and cover an entire song in 2020. His reservedness has been used by some fans in such a fucked up way where they make it seem like he just lacks confidence. There are many people who are more of the introvert type but that doesn't mean that they can't properly do the job(or career) that they themselves chose.
