For the textured look of casting, you can use Gunze Mr. Surfacer 500, as a primer. I use it on WWII bombs and it is also used on armor to simulate rough casting.

Great work as always. I want a 458 myself as I think they are lovely, and I agree fujimi is the best. However very expensive on eBay for a curbside kit. I'll keep looking for a good deal. btw you are right to fast forward the video on the parts we don't need to see detail on.

Pierre De Dinard he only uses high speed for parts we've already seen, like if he's doing 3 coats he will show only the first abnormal speed.

are you using the 1mm Molotow pen or the two? I did those engine bolts with a toothpick and it was pain in the a#$. I can find the 2mm pen but everyone in the states seems to be out of stock on the 1mm.

Molotow chrome paint pens come in 1mm and 2mm sizes. They are getting very popular!
