That ruling of the challenge was total bs. The question clearly asks about "the women who run her school," and the kid said that they were "in romantic relationship." A "romantic relationship" between "women" is a pc way of saying that they were "lesbians." He clearly demonstrated that he knew the answer before and after the multiple choice. Puzzlingly stupid ruling from the Schmoes here.

It was absolutely obvious that he knew the correct answer but he just didn't know if the internet would hate him if he said the word "lesbians". I think part of the issue is that they were also Nuns, so they aren’t supposed to be in ANY romantic relationship. If he had said a “romantic relationship with each other” I think that would have counted. But they could have each been in romantic relationships with men. I would have given The Kid the points, but I see why they wanted clarification.

I'm not a fan if the series and even I know the names of all of them because they are so ridiculous. I think if you included all of "Fast and the Furious" for any of them there would be an argument that it's because it's part of the same series, like if someone said Fast and the Furious 5 or 7. But Furious 5 and Fast 7 are outright wrong answers.

I haven't seen the film so I don't know if Brendan's answer was accurate, but there is a difference. You can have a sexual orrientation and not be in a relationship with someone. If the women weren't accused of being in a relationship with each other then Brendan shouldn't have gotten any points and Alonzo should have gotten a 2 point steal opportunity. If they were accused of being in a relationship then Brendan 100% should have gotten 2 full points.

Alonso is maybe the most knowledgeable player to ever play the game, and it’s not like he chokes, he just loses to INCREDIBLE opponents at the top of their game. This matchup was so heartbreaking because Brendan is one of my favorite players ever, but I wanted Alonso to make a run like I know he absolutely can. I got Brandon winning this whole tournament and then taking his first Championship at Spectacular and so far, looking very good! 9/9 in the first, 10/10 in the 3rd and should’ve gotten 6 points out of a possible 8 in the 2nd after the judges robbed him with that dumb ruling. If Meyer lost this match, then that would’ve gone down as the worst ruling possibly in the history of the league. The man got the question right, and there was only one multiple choice that had to do with relationships. Either way, LETS GO THE KID! Having never seen the movie in question I continue to be baffled by the way they determine these challenges. The only way I can see them coming to the conclusion they did is if in the movie they are accused of both being lesbians but not being in a relationship with each other. If that's not the case then I think I have officially lost faith in the "challenge" process.
